The end of the latest Nostalgia Critic episode suggests that after reviewing Man of Steel, Doug's going back to his roots with older stuff for a little bit. I'm glad to see that; while I've enjoyed his new stuff this year, there's still some older stuff from the 80s/90s that I'd like to see him riff on before he does eventually retire the character for good.

I'm sure there'll be people who are upset with it and write it off as a blatant commercial for the new(ish) AVGN game, but I found it entertainingly meta and self-deprecating when I caught it this morning.

Good two-parter, something a little different for this year's Christmas episode and an effective framing device for getting through some requests. I actually owned A Boy and His Blob, and I'd have to agree with his assessment.
