I have a feeling he won't be playing this season.
He's quite possibly done.

Done for good or just this season?

Considering his age he could be done for good.

Considering his last 2 years of abysmal play, I wouldn't have been too surprised if nobody picked him up. Without the drug stuff. With all that out in the open, hell no.

Odom has left the rehab center after just one day. That's what I call stupid. Would anyone waste even a ten day contract o him that season?!
Sun Sep 08, 2013 9:30 pm
Maybe he got all the help he needed in one day.

Most likely. Maybe many addicts are just too lazy to get clean in one day.
Mon Sep 09, 2013 7:41 pm
They wouldn't be addicts if they are lazy. Gotta do tricks for them hits.
Mon Sep 09, 2013 11:23 pm
All the help in one day my ass. Everybody in there was probably offering or asking for drugs.

This would probably do him more bad than good. Everybody will still think that he's a junkie.

So he made business connections in one day. I wouldn't consider that lazy.

Not all former pro athletes find jobs in sports. Wise move...
Wed Sep 11, 2013 11:55 am
"Former" haha, why are you so negative on Lamar mate?

How many soon to be 34 years old pro athletes with a serious drug problem are able to come back?
Wed Sep 11, 2013 2:37 pm
Barry Bonds was still wrecking it in his late 30's to early 40's with the help of some serious drugs.
Fri Sep 13, 2013 2:24 pm
That's one out of how many?
Mon Nov 18, 2013 1:31 pm
apparently the clippers lured him in with some crack and they talked about the possibility of him returning
Mon Nov 18, 2013 3:41 pm
The Clipps must have had told Odom that being on the road is a great way for him to get away from the wife and her family and that sealed the deal.

Linkage.
The Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers continue to monitor Lamar Odom's progress as closely as they can, and would consider signing the enigmatic free-agent forward should Odom prove that his personal and legal issues are behind him, according to sources with knowledge of both teams' thinking.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Clippers and Lakers -- who both registered interest in signing Odom this past summer until his private life became a near-daily subject for the tabloid media -- will have renewed interest in the 33-year-old if he indeed makes a comeback this season.
If his troubles are behind him, he's in shape and finally in a fit state of mind to play and contribute, he could potentially be a decent pickup for either LA team. If not, he'll be a fairly inexpensive experiment (by NBA standards) that they can cut loose if things aren't working out. After the past couple of seasons, I'd suggest keeping expectations low.
