Andrew would always advise to cut a promo and deliver a Stone Cold Stunner before quitting.

The beer celebration at the end wouldn't be a bad idea.

Having a fast metabolism really sucks when you're a guy who doesn't demand that much food; I'm losing weight against my will. :(

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Not to mention how quick you get hungry and start feeling sick when you don't eat.

i know how you feel... unfortunately i get full fast. but you can't let it allow you to make excuses.

i've been working hard to gain weight. i've been hitting the weights again but this time i knew that i needed to eat more. i was very sure that was holding me back before so i've made it a goal to hit 3000 calories a day.
in a span of 3-4 weeks, i gained 7 pounds, i look better than ever and i'm also the heaviest ive ever been

Yeah, and then it's hard to get through the day, especially when you don't have quick access to food.

I haven't lifted in about two months, but even then I wasn't eating enough. Part of the reason I lose weight is also that I stay up late, and even though I don't do any physical activity in that time, I still burn the calories from the last meal I eat for the day. I'll probably take your approach and set a goal for calories, and I'll also have to drag my ass to the gym as frequently as possible.

check out the Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculator at http://www.simplesciencefitness.com. it'll give you a good idea of where you should be at.

i know i don't hit 3k every day, but the calculator says I should be at 2600-2800 a day so that's what i go for. start counting calories for everything that you eat. drink a lot of milk and eat a lot of nuts (they have a lot of good fats in them)

An ex student of mine and her parents were killed inside their own house. I'm not that close to her but I felt very sorry for the girl. May they rest in peace. :(

There's this feeling of attachments to students. Whether you're close to them or not. Sorry to hear that dare. One of my students died of heart attack in 2011, another one succumbed to drowning in 2012.

Were they mugged in their house? That's just too horrible. :(

Was worried about dragging this thread down, but given the last two posts, I guess it doesn't matter.

I feel sorry for your loss. Had to put down my father's 21 (!) year old cat recently and I see the day coming closer when I have to do the same with my dog (he's 12,5 years old by now). Again, you have my sympathies.

But speaking of unpleasant events: my monster... erm I mean Mother in law is going to stay over the weekend. She is that ever nagging kind of Mother in law, that fulfills most of the bad clichés available...

Make her some special coffee/tea. Put something in it that will make her drowsy .

Wow, dare and Lean. That's just messed up. (N) RIP

Sorry for your loss.

Btw... how old was your dog? What was your reason behind it? My buddy jokingly asked me the other day when I plan to put her down because my dog was limping (and is noticeably getting old in recent years). I simply said "Never". I just can't imagine myself taking my dog to a vet and putting her down. I plan to buy a dolly so I can still take her out for walk if it comes to a point she can't walk.

16 last April. He had severe arthritis (could barely move one of his back legs), and was mostly blind and deaf. Had a couple of occasions where he fell over and couldn't get up; luckily someone was there to help him fairly quickly, but if it'd happened when nobody was home...

A year ago, they said he should make it to 19, but once his leg got too bad to walk his health plummeted.

It wasn't my decision--I wasn't even there when it was made--so I can't provide all the details of the reasoning, but that's what I understand of it.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Sat Aug 17, 2013 1:22 am

Sorry to hear that koberulz. It gets to a point where it's the kind, humane thing to do, but that doesn't make it any less of a tough decision.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Sat Aug 17, 2013 1:41 am

At least this way you know it's coming, too, which I'd imagine beats going out into the yard to find he's passed away, or having him get hit by a car or something. We did get a week with him knowing that we'd be putting him down today.

Although with that said, a year ago he was given four more years, and even a couple of weeks ago we thought he'd make it into 2014. He went downhill so rapidly it did come fairly out of the blue.

You gave him an awesome home for 16 years. I wasn't blaming anyone for the decision for putting down. More so, I think it's a tougher decision to make because it's frigging sad to let go. If my dog suffers from a cancer, I would. Pain is not worth living through, somtimes.

My dog went deaf several months ago. I realized when it was sleeping in front of loud speakers while I was playing a game. And I thought she was ignoring me on purpose when I was calling her.

Peace to dare. And I never got to know if Lean actually performed the 3:16 exit.

koberulz, I actually know how that feeling can break a guy. A friend of mine was totally messed up for a while after his dog died. I never understood before how much a pet could mean to one. But as you said, it was way better than dying from all those other ways you mentioned.

Didn't think you were; just pointing out I'm not aware of all the specifics, merely the general situation.

A family of three was massacred in their own house. The murder was suspected to be done by three people. Police says that the family knows who the murderers are as the house was not rob or was not in mess other than a few cellphones missing.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:11 pm

So I have been dealing with a lot of lock ups and freezes (no blue screens or anything, just locked up or slow/laggy/stuttery mouse movements) with my computer the past few months. Sometimes random, sometimes not. I went as far as to blame the one and only Leftos and his NST tool for causing my lockups and performance issues while recording 2K13.

Turns out I had 2 major issues that were causing crashes.

I found out about event viewer and it showed 2 specific errors. One was search/gatherer trying to access the harddrive that failed at the beginning of the summer and I had to take out. Since it was the D:/ and my DVD drive got reassigned to the D:/, well, it was causing conflicts between the 2K13 disc and search expecting a hard drive.

The second issue was nVidia's Virtual HD Audio Driver, which I guess is a common issue with nVidia cards, if not the 560 Ti specifically. Since I was recording videos while using NST for the pickup series, and had to mute the game so game highlights wouldn't play music (even though my settings for music were turned off, fix ur game Leftos), I wrongfully blamed NST and .NET framework instead. I did know something was up with my drivers though, since every once in awhile they would crash and restart, no matter how many times I would uninstall, run DriverSweeper, and reinstall.

So whew and high fives for all.
