Hopefully, he can continue to deal with his issues, promote his cause and if he's truly interested in doing so, resurrect his basketball career. I still think he needs some more level-headed people looking out for him and advising him on how to handle these situations and disputes. The finger-pointing doesn't do him or his cause any favours.

The Rockets reportedly sent the money to pay off White's contract to Philly. The Sixers did this trade because they wanted the rights to Furkan Aldemir - whoever he is - which were also included. Now, don't pick up his option for 14/15 and he's outta here next July.

We'll probably have a player who doesn't play a single game for the second consecutive season! This time at least we didn't give anything up for him and... well, the Sixers have to hit the salary and players number minimum somehow. It'd better be players who won't stop the tank and I don't see a better way to tank than not even playing at all. This is a great trade.

Presumably the Sixers will be looking to make similar arrangements to the ones that the Rockets were reportedly willing to set up. White just has to meet them halfway.
