Why the fuck would they let Tyreke go and sign that delusional shot chucker? Like really?
Cousins has my vote to punch him if he is signed.

I don't know, but I consider Jimmer a bust.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:22 am
At least wait for the guy's rookie contract to finish before labelling him a bust. He's only been in the league for two years.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:24 am
His hype drastically declined as his career went by, although yeah it's really early. Maybe this season.

Double posting but...
According to Marc Stein of ESPN:
Sources briefed on the situation told ESPN.com that the Hawks and Bucks have in recent days discussed a sign-and-trade deal to land Brandon Jennings in Atlanta and send fellow restricted free agent Jeff Teague to Milwaukee to reunite with former Hawks coach Larry Drew. ESPN.com reported early in free agency that the Bucks, at Drew’s behest, had interest.

Jimmer needs to learn to dribble and defend. But it's not as simple as it sounds because he's quite a stiff for a guard. He's a fan favorite though. Expect Smart to smartly play him heavy minutes this season of tank.
Anyways, here's what Sullinger plans to do.
Sullinger: We Have Celtic Pride, Won’t Tank

Now if only Smart was their coach...

What happened to him? Is he no more in Sacto? If then, that's awesome.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:28 am
He was fired back in May.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:37 am
Solid move by the Kings. I really couldn't understand what the hell he was doing last season. Blame also goes to the management I assume because they wanted to tank.
Lakers to amnesty MWP.
Can anyone confirm this rumor?
Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:57 am
They don't have any more players left then they'll amnesty Metta? Come on.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 11:16 am
The Los Angeles Lakers plan on using their amnesty clause on Metta World Peace barring a late change of mind.
The Lakers would save approximately $30 million in luxury tax savings by waiving World Peace.

Tank Mode?
Tue Jul 09, 2013 11:28 am
I don't think I have ever watched a season where i wanted the Celtics to lose every game. even during the Duncan sweepstakes i didn't want them to bottom out but now each win will be met with anger. of course i know whats gonna happen. the Celtics will have the worst record in the league but and the lakers will miss the playoffs by 1 game and somehow get the top pick while the Celtics get the 4th. i will then punch a few kittens and kill novu
Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:47 pm
This offseason is the deadline for amnestying players. Lakers might as well use it.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 1:37 pm
The Lakers probably aren't flat out tanking, but they are getting to a point where they will need to re-load and re-tool, transitioning into a new era. That means they're trimming the fat and trusting the players they'll have on the roster this season to at least be competitive. They'll have a lot of cap space to use next year, though if they do end up with a lottery pick on top of that they'll obviously be happy with that scenario as well.

Mike Miller is being considered amnesty candidate for the Heat. It'd be a financial move entirely which I don't want to see.

That's just wrong. True fans with Celtics Pride would never lose faith but support the team no matter what.
Tue Jul 09, 2013 6:05 pm
i am supporting them by praying they get the top pick
Tue Jul 09, 2013 9:08 pm
OMg Sauru. It's because of teams like the Celtics, we're gonna see a season with several 60 win teams.

Knicks Interested In Metta World PeaceI personally want to see him remaining in LA, with Clippers. But I can imagine him doing Shane Battier impersonation for NYK.
Wed Jul 10, 2013 10:53 am
That'd be an OK move for the Knicks. It'd be adding another older player who's past his prime, but he had a bit of a resurgence last year to the point where it appears he's still capable of being a role player who can make a decent contribution.
Wed Jul 10, 2013 6:42 pm
Yup. I have a feeling whoever picks up MWP, will be happy because he'll come cheap and still capable.
Anyways, here's another update on Andrew Bynum.
Andrew Bynum's agent, David Lee, says he's not sure when his client will pick a team.
Bynum met with the Hawks on Tuesday and is slated to meet with the Mavs later this week. He also has a two-year, $24 million offer on the table from the Cavs, although the second year is a team option. Cleveland reportedly is pushing Bynum to make a decision, but it doesn't sound like Lee has any idea when that will happen. It will be interesting to see if Cleveland moves on while Bynum continues other options. Jul 9 - 8:27 PM
Another indecision drama though it's not as big as Dwight.
Wed Jul 10, 2013 8:02 pm
He's probably scouting out which of the three have great bowling places.
Wed Jul 10, 2013 8:04 pm
As a sidenote, it's kind of funny how mentions of Bynum's agent David Lee on Yahoo! NBA articles (and presumably other such sites) are automatically linked to the profile of David Lee, the player.

Magic negotiating buyout with Hedo TurkogluThe Orlando Magic are progressing on contract buyout talks with forward Hedo Turkoglu, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
With the Magic working to construct the franchise around a rapidly improving young core, team officials and Turkoglu are eager to part ways.
No buyout deal is imminent, but the sides have been moving closer on possible terms, sources said.
I assume Al Harrington is next?
Thu Jul 11, 2013 2:01 am
Both Turk and Harrington have only half of their salary guaranteed. I assume Orlando wants to pay them more of it at less per year to go away.
