Menu controls for PC with a PS3 controller

Hey, I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to properly set up a ps3 controller on my ps3 so that the buttons properly match up with the controls of the game. Im not talking about setting up the controls through 'control settings' menu because im having issue with changing the controls for getting through the menu. the r1 and r2 buttons do completely different things and i cant change them.....
is there a patch that i can download that sets this up for me?

Basically I was having the same trouble you did, I went out bought a pc controller and still didnt have much luck, I tried downloading an xbox 360 controller emulater and It still didnt work for me. And so after playing around I found this motionjoy program. Whta your gonna wanna do is go to http://www.motioninjoy.com/download and download the program. Once downloaded open the program up and scroll down the list under "Select one mode" and click the "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator"

Works like a charm, the game really believes your using an XBOX 360 controller. Although I am bew to PC gaming I am loving it, there is so much you can do to makes things more fun and easy on yourself.

I use motioninjoy though I wish there was a better alternative. It's also useful for other games that don't work well with kb/m
