My point is, this is not about DH only but also try to look on what their FO had done to him. this is a superstar's league, he's a superstar, and he has these rights to choose or demand to whatsoever he wants. as a FO, you have also your rights, but would you rather make him stay when his "heart" is already out? just like a girlfriend, "bitching" to other guys, would you want her again?simple sample..

Wrong!
Magic traded a lot over the last couple of years. The got to the finals in 08/09 and reached the conference finals the following year. They had pretty good rosters both times - otherwise they would not have been there - but were just not able to win it all. To make Howard happy Magic did in fact a lot. But they made the mistake to overpay players (Jason Richardson, Hedo) to get/stay there for the instant success. Now they have to go through the sh*t they are acountable for.
They lesson all should have learned from the '90ies Bulls and today's Heat is, you can't buy an instant NBA title.

Yep, you're right they've traded a lot. But the question is, do those moves made dwight happy? did he want those trades to be done?(if i was a orlando fan, after a conference finals year then removing vc/lewis/gortat, i would probably get mad) And dwight stated before all these trade rumors that he wanted to play w/ a great PG in orlando(i.e. nash,cp3,dwill), so he wants to recruit. but what happened?nothing. never tried at all, instead breaking their championship core and signing lucrative contracts to trash players(jrich, big baby, turk etc). even dwight himself was actually shocked after that 2009 trade that sent vc/lewis/gortat out of orlando. this might be some of the reasons dwight wants out 'cos he's not even involved or being informed about what are the organizations plans for the team, as their superstar player and the most dominant C as for today(not really sure tho) he's not involved in this matters, w/c for me is an insult. again, im not saving this dwight drama, but some of the info's are unfairly biased. they make orlando magic the only victims on this matter, where in fact they even not tried to take further actions on dwight's injury w/c is their responsibility. God made everyone of us w/ 2 eyes,2 ears, and 2 hands. try to weigh it first, rather than just jumping to the dwight hate "uneducated" bandwagon..

Howard has rights, but he also has obligations, and that is to fulfill his contract with the Orlando Magic. That is, after all, his job. From a personal/"emotional" standpoint, you could draw comparisons to a romantic relationship gone bad, but at the end of the day it's a professional relationship, a profession, an occupation.

As far as them "blackmailing" him...that's a strong accusation and one that he backpedaled from very quickly once he was actually called on it.

Although the Dwight Howard saga is over - at least until the upcoming offseason, at any rate - Marc Spears has posted a breakdown of how Howard and Chris Paul's plans to play together ultimately fell apart.

Paul with Howard would have been a real treat for all basketball fans. For now, fuck Howard for his indecision.

Dwight to Sign with ? (Hint: not the Lakers)

Sources: Dwight Howard unlikely to re-sign with the Lakers. Dallas and Houston the favorites. Main issue w/Lakers is Mike D'Antoni's system

All over the ESPN where my X-Games should be. I'd like to see him in Houston, it'd be nice to follow them again just as the Celtics rebuild....just like with Yao & T-Mac.

Such a bum.
I wish him all the best and most of all a kick in the groin...

Actually I understand that he does not want to play under D'Antoni. D'Antoni is maybe the worst thing that could happen to a big man without a shot. Heck, he even killed Gasol's game last year.

I don't like Howard. His character is so strange and doubtful. But I would love to see his talents in Dallas next to Dirk.

Re: Dwight Howard's Clusterfuck 2013 Edition

Howard's major problem with the Lakers is the system that coach Mike D'Antoni employs. Beyond that, he did not enjoy playing with Kobe Bryant, though he could manage to do so in a different system, a source said. Howard also does not want to be second fiddle to Bryant for several more seasons.

While many believe Houston is the Lakers' stiffest competition, sources say Howard finds Dallas just as appealing, if not more. Assuming the Mavericks are able to clear enough cap space to offer him a maximum-salaried contract, Howard is strongly considering joining Dallas. The Mavericks are trying to shed Shawn Marion's $9 million expiring contract to create the room to sign Howard, according to sources.

Howard likes the idea of being the top superstar of a franchise and with Dirk Nowitzki aging, Dallas would be viewed as Howard's team. Howard also believes the Mavericks can build a championship roster around him with the ample cap space they will have in the summer of 2014.

Some close to Howard believe signing with Houston is his best option. Howard has been in contact with Rockets players James Harden and Chandler Parsons, both of whom are heavily recruiting him.

Howard, however, has concerns about the Rockets' style of play, sources say. While he likes the idea of playing for coach Kevin McHale, he sees that they play an up-tempo, perimeter-oriented style that does not feature post play.

He does not want to be the second fiddle but is no leader either. That guy is just a flat out idiot. A very talented idiot...

I actually really like it, because I'd like to see this big dude with great 3 pointers in Houston. There's not a single guy who can't shoot 3s on that roster(lol maybe a couple but). On top of that, James Harden in prime instantly becomes the best teammate he's ever had.

And it's awesome that he's considering Dirk. Not only Dirk's willing to sacrifice to win but he's still one of the best powerforwards in the league. Dwight can dominate inside, while Dirk pulls out one body out of the paint. Vice versa, when the team focus their defense on Dwight, Dirk can punish them from outside.

But if he stays the Lakers, it'd be more for the money imo.

Has he considered the option of becoming a good enough player to actually deserve what he's demanding?

First off fuck Dwight Howard. Let his prissy ass go if he's going to be a little bitch about it, he came to LA because it was on his shortlist. Now he's whining again. Jeez.

Seconldy, fuck Jim Buss for hiring the most moronic coach ever. :x

You know that dog meat and "Heroes" movie both are from China, right? So I don't really think advicing bi-atch & coward to go there is very smart.

i remember i used to actually like this guy. he seemed like an honest person, a nice guy. well that has all changed and i view him worse than lebron now

Re: Dwight Howard's Clusterfuck 2013 Edition

Yeah it's a bit of a problem for a Mavs fan like me as I really can't stand Dwight Howard but he is still the most dominant inside force without even maximizing any of his talents (still raw like shit on offense).

But for the sake of Dirk getting another ring, I assume everything would be alright for me.

I liked the guy in Orlando and I liked him coming to the Lakers, his constant whining though, damn!

I wish the guy good luck, he can't carry the Lakers franchise, that's clear. :?

I think the remarks on his letter to himself in the article that I posted offer a good take on the situation:

Again, Howard's insistence that he's not robotic — effectively, that everyone else just isn't alive enough — suggests a basic confusion about the current state of his public image. While Howard gained favor in his first few seasons as a star who seemed to enjoy his good fortune, somewhere along that way that basic appreciation of his circumstances became a brand. When things were going well, that was fine, because it was an organic extension of what fans liked about Howard.

But when the situation in Orlando got worse, Howard's attempts to please came across as cloying, manufactured, and inappropriate. If he originally became popular because he seemed naturally fun, then he stopped being so because that fun seemed false. In other words, it became a robotic response to every scenario.

Mavs' Dirk Nowitzki told Dwight Howard: 'We'd love to have him'

Part of me wants Dwight to go to established Rockets team because he'll be paired up with the best SG in today's game along with great 3 pointers(great basketball to be enjoyed). But knowing Dirk is nearing end of his prime, Dirk-Dwight experiment also sounds very enjoyable, before it gets too late for Dirk.

I still think he's more likely to stay in LA, but given how things went down last season, I don't really want to see another wasted year by one of the best bigs in today's era.

Good news though is that...

According to ESPN Los Angeles, Dwight Howard isn't going to drag out his free-agency decision, but instead will make his intentions known on July 10.
