Final Thoughts

Image

Player of the Game: R.Rondo - 14pts/2reb/12ast/3stl/1blk

Jazz coulden't exploit the thin Celtics front line but they did hold an advantage 68 points in the paint, 46-43 Rebounding edge.

Celtics Shot 50/40/88% and their bench provided the instant scoring with 47 points.

R.Rondo(14pts/2reb/12ast/3stl/1blk) did what he had to do to get the win, running the offense, setting up his teammates, scoring when he wanted to(sometimes over 4 players) and playing good D.

K.Garnett(16pts/5reb/1ast/2blk) defended a much bigger player in Jefferson, and scored some points efficiently along the way.

J.Green(17pts/5reb/1ast/1stl/3blk) defended bigger players in Millsap and Favours admirably but had difficulty scoring over them and went 7-16 from the floor.

J.Sullinger(9pts/6reb/4stl) was the hustle guy who played good defense, pulled down some boards and scored the ball.

B.Bass(0pts/7reb/1ast/1stl/1blk) didn't score a point but was a monster on the boards pulling down 7 in 10 min of playing time.

J.Terry(14pts/2reb) had a scoring outburst in the beginning of 3rd quarter trying to inspire the team and get them going Offensively.

P.Pierce(14pts/3reb/1ast) scored inefficiently (6-15) and served as a decoy and a scoring presence on the floor.

C.Lee(11pts/5reb/2ast/1stl/1blk) Played good defense on Burks(DAMN IT!) and scored when defense left him open.

T.McGrady(6pts/2reb/1ast/1stl) and L.Barbosa(6pts/2reb/1ast/1stl) played decent off the bench as ballhandelers and facilitators.

Everybody else had forgettable a game.

Celtics picked up an inter-confrence win over a good team and have won 4 in a row.

Next they travel to Brooklyn to take on the Nets.

Look forward to the next game.

Another good win. Can't think of any trades just yet. Perhaps moving Terry and Bass together to a contender?

I cant think of any trades either but I want to trade around the time Bradley comes back cause it'll create a minutes logjam:

Guards

Rondo----36mpg
Barbosa--15mpd
Lee-------15mpg
Bradley--30mpg
Terry----10mpg

Adding up to assign at least 10 minutes of Lee at Forwards which would cause another logjam:

Forewards

Pierce-----30mpg
McGrady--15mpg
Lee--------10mpg

Green-----30mpg
Sullinger--30mpg
Bass-------10mpg
Wilcox----5mpg

Center

Garnett--30mpg
Melo------5mpg

But we do have about 3 Months of Game time so hopefully someone comes up with something.

Maybe even try to move Barbosa and Bass, Terry could be useful just to keep for clutch situations Haha.

Final Thoughts

Player of The Game: Tie b/w

Image

P.Pierce : 19pts/5ast/3stl

and

Image

J.Green : 22pts/7reb/1ast/2stl

Nets shot 50/33/100% and did everything they could to take the game away except avoiding turnovers and defending the three but were sinked by a last second three by Pierce.

D.Williams --- 21pts/9reb/11ast/2stl/1blk on 9-25 shooting
J.Johnson ---- 21pts/4reb/7ast/1blk on 9-22 shooting
K.Humphries -- 15pts/15reb

Boston Got hot from the three (9-20), forced turnovers (13) and steals (7) and got a big contribution from their bench (40pts).

J.Green(22pts/7reb/1ast/2stl) played great in the first hitting open threes, finishing OOPs, running the floor and kept the game close when nobody else was scoring.

P.Pierce(19pts/5ast/3stl) went reletively unnoticed but as a typical Pierce performance, he elevated his play to another level with game in the balance and the clock running down.

R.Rondo(8pts/2reb/11ast/1blk) had a decent game controlling the offense, feeding the hot hand and playing good defense on Williams. He also split the lane to get us our final lead of the game.

J.Sullinger(7pts/12reb/1ast) came up big on the boards, particularly when no one else was putting the effort and we were getting killed on them (33-54)

K.Garnett(14pts/4reb/1blk) played a nice quiet game. He struggled against the big Nets lineup but chipped in where he could.

L.Barbosa(13pts/2ast) came off the bench as an efficient scorer off the bench. With Green starting he lead the bench to this scoring outburst.

J.Terry(12pts) was the Offensive spark-plug off the bench which the Celtics really needed. Mid 2nd quarter he scored 10 straight points off catch and shoots and aulthough he was bad defensively, he made it up on the other end.

C.Lee(9pts/3reb/1blk) went for 0 points in the 1st half but turned it around after the break. He made the step-back three which finally cut the lead to 1 late in the 4th quarter.

T.McGrady(4pts/2reb/1ast/1stl) came up with a couple of buckets to get the bench going in the 3rd when the offense got stagnant.

Everybody else had forgettable game.

Boston won an important game against a division rivals on the road at the buzzer and have won 5 consecutive games.

Next they return to the Garden for a home game against the Raptors.

Look forward to the next game

Final thoughts

Player Of The Game: J.Calderon -- 14pts/4reb/11ast/1stl

Raptors shot good(45/66/77%), grabbed boards(58-45), attacked the paint(72-52) and played defense to keep Celtics in check.

Celtics shot horribly in the first half(38/42/100%) but turned it around in the second(51/100/100%) but came up short in the end.

K.Garnett(22pts/8reb/1ast/1stl) played good matched up against Jonas but his trademark interior defense was non existant

J.Green(19pts/2reb/1ast/1blk) scored good but failed to do too much of anything else. Good game though.

R.Rondo(9pts/4reb/13ast/2stl) played good D and controlled the offense. The usual.

P.Pierce(17pts/3reb/4stl) harassed Pietrus all game long ripping him at multiple instances but it was Pietrus who came up Clutch in the end making the gamewinner.

J.Sullinger(6pts/13reb/3ast/1stl) attacked the board relentlessly for the whole game.

L.Barbosa(10pts/3reb/1ast/1blk) had a decent game and made the highlight of the game on the Hailmerry buzzerbeater.

Everybody else had a forgettable game.

Celtics lost to a divisional foe in a home game at the buzzer. Don't expect many of those to happen.

Next they travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons for a one game road trip.

Look forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player Of the game:

Jason Maxiell - 18pts/11reb

or

R.Stuckey - 25pts/7reb/4ast/1stl

Pistons played greatly to their strengths scoring in the paint(An Unbeliveable 102 Points In The Paint) grabbing rebounds (51 rebounds). and successfully exploited every Celtic holes there were.

R.Stuckey(25pts/7reb/4ast/1stl) played good scoring a team-high 25 points but in 25 attempts.

Jason Maxiell(18pts/11reb) and G.Monroe(14pts/13reb/3ast/1stl) were rebounding machines exploiting Celtics big men all over the court.

B.Knight(18pts/5reb/11ast/1stl on 8/12 shooting) played great for a sophmore giving a hint of what he is capable of doing.

Celtics were close in the game only because of their shooting(54/40/87%, 8 3-pointers made) and their bench(53 pts). As bad as we played on defense and boards, this should have been a blowout.

P.Pierce(24pts/3reb/1ast/1stl) started slow but picked it u in the second half.

K.Garnett(17pts/3reb/1ast) scored efficiently and rebounded horrendosly

R.Rondo(12pts/2reb/14ast/3stl) had a decent game.

J.Sullinger(7pts/8reb) was the only Celtic to grab more then 3 rebounds.

L.Barbosa(13pts/2reb/4ast) as always was good as a bench spark.

J.Green(12pts/1reb/4ast/1blk 6/15 shooting) was good for a few highlights but was decent at best.

B.Bass(10pts/2reb/1stl) was efficient scoring the ball on 4-5 shooting.

J.Terry(7pts/1reb/2ast) scored decently and was a defensive liability as always.

C.Lee(4pts/3reb/3ast/1stl) wasen't hitting his shots and that affected his defense.

Everyone else had a forgettable game.

Celtics drop an easy game to an inferior opponent and have lost 2 straight.

Next they return home to take on the Spurs who have won their last 3.

Look forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player of the Game: M.Ginobili - 23pts/6reb/4ast/1stl/4blk(Game High)

Spurs started good and finished better Shooting 54/28/100% grabbing 53-40 Rebounding edge.

M.Ginobili(23pts/6reb/4ast/1stl/4blk(Game High)) got hot in the 4th and dug his team out of the hole.

K.Leonard(20pts/10reb/2ast/1stl) played good scoring on the brean, grabbing rebounds and playing good defense

D.Blair(16pts/13reb/1ast) was a beast on the boards.

Celtics played with effort but collapsed in the end

J.Sullinger(20pts/9reb) carried the team for 3 quarters grabbing loose balls and scoring inside.

K.Garnett(18pts/7reb/2ast/1stl/1blk) tried to save the game in third a bit but ran out of gas.

R.Rondo(8pts/3reb/15ast/5stl) played good defense and spread the ball outplaying Parker

J.Green(8pts/10reb/1ast/1stl) had a bad shooting night.

L.Barbosa(13pts/3reb/5ast) got hot in the second quarter.

P.Pierce(13pts/4reb/2ast/1stl) was highly overmatched by the younger more athletic Leonard and never got it going.

B.Bass(11pts/2reb) played encouragingly good and may earn a bigger role in the rotation.

C.Lee(7pts/4ast/4stl) played great defense for 3 quarters but couldent stop Ginobili in the 4th.

Everyone else had forgettable games.

Celtics lose a game they had in their hand and failed to execute down the stretch.

The lack of an actual center and rim-protector is starting to be a problem more and more and needs to be rectified.

Celtics have lost 3 in a row as they look to host the Thunder next

Look forward to the next game.

Also Trade rumors have surfaced that Danny Ainge of the Boston Celtics is looking to acquire a decent backup center.

Apparently they are in talks with Denver Nuggets for T.Mozgov, A.Randolph, C.Brewer and '13 Second Round Pick for J.Terry, B.Bass '13 Second Round Pick and '14 First Round Pick. (This is the counter offer from them..)

This will give us a couple of young rim protectors along with simplyfing our rotations to some extent.

Randolph can start alongside KG to relive him some rebounding and rim protecting duties while learning under him and catching lobs from Rondo.

Mozgov can Back up KG(around 25 min) while Sullinger backs up Randolph whith Sullinger getting more minutes.

This also moves Green to backup 3 and Pierce playing 25 min preserving his body.

Another report indicates the Cavs taking B.Bass, J.Terry and '14 2nd Round Pick for A.Varejao.(Again CPU Approved)

This move moves KG back to the 4 and simultaniously solves the problem of Interior defense, Rebounding, and Guard rotation.

Comment what you think about these trades and/or leave suggessions for some others.

I like the Andy one to be honest. It helps clear your rotation a little and you don't have to give up a 14 1st as well.

I like both of them but I am still weighing my options for other trades as I don't want to be trigger happy.

As for the pick, I don't really mind giving up the 1st rounder as it will most probably be late 1st round (anywhere below 23) and I don't expect anything great there.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As for the Thunder Game, I know all of us have been waiting for it but it will be delayed some more as I am not able to play the game as I have family coming over to my house.

I could put up the game but it most probably will be rushed and I don't want that since everyone was hyped about the game and It will be a shame if it is not done properly

Injury report

A.Bradley --- Sprained Shoulder - Out/2-4 Months

K.Martin ---- Bruised Rib ------- Hurt/Day-to-Day
E.Maynor ---- Dislocated Finger - Hurt/Day-to-Day

This is a big matchup (One of the biggest) with matchups all across the board

First there's Rondo Vs. Westbrook where Rondo will impact with his Crafty drives and Sweet playmaking and Westbrook will intimidate with his Thunderous Dunks.

Then there's Durant Vs. Green with Green making life difficult for Durant but still Durant getting his shots off.

Next Garnett Vs. Perkins where a young player meets his Mentor in an epic defensive showdown

Then there's Pierce Vs. Durant trying to top one another in the clutch

Finally there's the whole T.Williams in the real world Celtics and virtual Thunder twist.

It is 2 of the Top 3 Teams in their respective conferences going head on in an early season Battle and potentially a preview of the NBA Finals.

Note-- I will be showing major plays from both sides so It might go a bit longer.

Final Thoughts

Image

Player Of the Game : P.Pierce -- 41pts/6reb/6ast/2stl/3blk and a Wide Array Clutch Shots and Plays.

THE BEST GAME OF THE SEASON HANDS DOWN.

The Game had multiple Headlining Storylines.

The Game Went 3 Overtimes.

The Game Featured an Insane amount of Clutch Shots.

The Game Had 5 Players topping 30 points, 2 Players topping 40 points and 1 with 56 Points.

A Total of 119 Rebounds were collected and 192 points scored in the paint combined.

The Thunder Shot 51/35/81% and frankly this game was so long and even that no pros or cons stand out except rebounding (66-53)

K.Durant(56pts/15reb/1ast/1stl) Played a Great Game scoring the ball and Hitting the boards. He also went Toe-to-Toe with the most clutch player of the last Decade and came up just a point short. The Future is Extremly Bright.

R.Westbrook(36pts/8reb/18ast/3stl) Also had a monster Game Scoring, Rebounding and Spreading the ball around. He out-played Rondo and was a big part of the game going 3OTs

J.Lamb(35pts/4reb/4ast) was a revelation scorer filling in for K.Martin scoring against the slower Pierce.

S.Ibaka(22pts/20reb/1ast/2blk) was a force to be reckoned with in the paint creating havox and recording his first 20-20 Game.

K.Perkins(2pts/11reb/1ast/2stl) couldent contain KG but hit the boards hard and came up with 2 steals.

Celtics Shot 54/42/85% from the field and Got a big contribution from their bench with 39 points.

P.Pierce(41pts/6reb/6ast/2stl/3blk) had one of his throwback performances while carrying the team throught 4th quarter and all the OTs and trying to keep up with a quicker player on defense (not that he did a good job but atleast he tried). It dosen't get any Truer than that.

K.Garnett(37pts/7reb/1ast/1stl/2blk) started hot in the first, Faded down the strech and Got hot again towards the end, constantly altering shots at the rim and even defending Durant for some streches.

R.Rondo(8pts/3reb/21ast/5stl) played decent during 4 Quarters and got out of Pierce's way in OTs (Smart thing to do) playing the passing lanes and Ripping balls off people.

J.Green(27pts/7reb/2blk) tried his best to contain Durant but failed respectfully. he also provided the scoring threat to take some pressure off Pierce and KG's Backs, cutting to the basket and finishing the Oop in a split second.

J.Sullinger(12pts/14reb/1stl/1blk) played decent and acted as the decoy for KG to operate in the post.

B.Bass(16pts/4reb in 11 Min) played great in limited time and is really campaigning for an increased role with the team.

L.Barbosa(9pts/4reb/5ast/1blk) & T.McGrady(5pts/3reb/3ast/1stl) are officially the backup team for Rondo. They played decent scoring and assisting. Just about what we expect from them.

F.Melo(6pts/4reb/1blk) showed he may be ready for an increased role.

Everybody else had a forgettable (yet an Unforgettable) Game.

The Celtics come up with a Huge Triple Over-Time Victory at home and can get some rest with four days and one game against Magic.

Next they Travel to Orlando to take on the Magic. KG and Pierce are most probably getting the game Off.

Look forward to the next game.

After a gut wrenching Triple-Overtime game, Doc decided to give the oldies (KG, Pierce, Terry) some rest as they won't be travelling with the team for this one game road trip.

Final Thoughts

Image

Player of the Game: J.Green -- 33pts/7reb/2ast/1stl/2blk

Magic played good in the first half but faltered in the 2nd half scoring inefficiently - 45/30/75%

J.J.Redick -- 22pts/4reb/3ast/1blk

A.Afflalo --- 20pts/6reb/3ast

J.Nelson ---- 19pts/4reb/8ast/2blk

I.Smith ----- 12pts/2reb/10ast/2stl

G.Davis ----- 10pts/10reb/1ast

Celtics and their 1/3 of the Big-3 (or half of the Core-4) kept the game close and broke out in the Second half Controlling the boards 49-43, and shooting 53/60/100% from the field.

J.Green(33pts/7reb/2ast/1stl/2blk) took on the scorer's load with Pierce and KG missing and showed that he can be a legitimate first option.

L.Barbosa(25pts/2reb/5ast) came up huge off the bench and took on a lot of scoring load.

R.Rondo(4pts/8reb/14ast/1stl/2blk) recogonised the hot hand early and kept feeding it to get his teammates involved

C.Lee(16pts/7reb/1ast/1stl/1blk) played decent as the backcourt running mate for Rondo

J.Sullinger(10pts/7reb/1ast/2blk) & F.Melo(14pts/7reb/1ast/1stl) put on the best KG impression they could muster and together defended decently.

B.Bass(8pts/6reb/2ast) played good against his former team and continue his string of strong performances.

T.McGrady(6pts/2reb/4ast/1blk) played valueable minutes off the bench.

Everybody else had an unforgettable game.

The Celtics win an easy game along with giving The Older Guys some Rest as they return home for a 3 game home-stand.

Next they host the Nets.

Look forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player Of The Game: D.Williams -- 26pts/5reb/9ast/1stl

THe Nets were poor in the first Half but came out as hot as one could be out of the break.

They controlled the game in the third quarter and created enough cusion to withstand the inevitable 4th Quarter run by the Celtics.

They shot 53/12/89% from the field and controlled the boards 50-39

Celtics Started hot but had the biggest collapse of the season down the strech faining to score on consecutive possessions down the strech.

P.Pierce(36/4reb/3ast/1stl/1blk) Got Hot from the Three in the 4th But the Celtics had dug themselves too big of a hole for Pierce to carry alone.

K.Garnett(21pts/5reb/1ast/1stl/1blk) was lights out in the 1st half(19pts/3reb/1blk) but completly disappeared down the strech and was completly outworked by Nets Bigs (2pts/2reb in entire second half.)

J.Green(15pts/8reb/2ast/2stl/1blk) played decent offense and atrocious Defense on Johnson.

R.Rondo(11pts/8reb/8ast/3stl/2blk) simmilar to all other Celtics played only one half both on offense and defense.

J.Sullinger(10pts/8reb/1ast/1stl) see above.

Every-Freakin-Body Had a forgettable game.

Celtics won against the Nets last tine on last second Heroics of Paul Pierce But he won't always be enough to carry the team.

Once again a Big Frontline exploited the Celtics inside and it is more and more clear thar KG needs some help.

Lets hope this pushes Danny's Panic Button and he gets a serviceable Big Man.

Next the celtics host another big lineyp of Aldridge and Hickson and the Trailblazers.

Look Forward to the next Game.

The Celtics Depth Chart now looks like

PG ----- Image---Image

SG ----- Image---Image(Injured)

SF ----- Image---Image---Image

PF ----- Image---Image---Image

C ------ Image---Image---Image

This Trade brings in quality big-men who can protect the paint and hit the boards to the Celtics which were in dire need of some size inside as they were second to last in Rebounding and Offensive rebounding and third to last in Defensive rebounding.

It also clears up the clot at the Guard position along with getting some size(Rondo, Bradley, Barbosa are 6'1", 6'2", 6'3" respectively. Carter 6'6")

S.Dalembert allows Garnett to move back to his original position (PF) as well as brings interior toughness, shot blocking and Rebounding. Pairing up with KG they form a Dangerous 5-4

A.Randolph is basically Dalembert-Lite coming off the bench, more athletic, and way younger. One year under KG, PP and Doc can do wonders for his career.

T.Mozgov is another young Center with decent Backup type potential.

V.Carter helped clear some of the logjam at guard and is a starting caliber 2-Guard with good offense, capable of getting his own shot and underrated defense who is also willing to come off the bench after Bradley comes back.

The wide assortment of picks (7 picks in 2 years) can be used to draft Diamonds in the Rough or traded to move up the draft board.

The hardest part was to part with Lee as I liked the guy(Good defense, Decent Offense) but Trading Terry was essential as he couldn't fit in with the defensive first mentality of the Celtics.

Bass was also a difficult choice and if I could have, I would have kept him as he was a decent 2 way player with a Knock down Mid J and strong slams.

The Boston Celtics Organisation thanks and Wishes luck to Courtney Lee, Brandon Bass, Jason Terry, Chris Wilcox and Jason Collins And Welcomes Samuel Dalembert, Vince Carter, Anthony Randolph and Timofey Mozgov into the Celtic Family.

Note -- If there is an overwhelming demand or an extremely convincing argument against these trades, they can be completely reversed.

Final Thoughts

Image

Player of the Game: R.Rondo -- 14pts/6reb/1stl and Season and League high 21 Assists

The Blazers put up some fight in the first Quarter but ultimately played line the Lottery bound team they are especially in the 4th Quarter.

They clearly need a superstar besides Aldridge and possibly Lillard to be in Playoff contention again.

L.Aldridge(27pts/11reb/2ast/3stl/2blk) looked like the only player wanting to win and showing promise like a franchise cornerstone should.

Celtics Played a Great first game as the new group and look promising, shooting 54/55/100%, attacking the rim(84 pts in paint), 46 bench points, 32 assists, 54-41 Rebounding adv. and basically dominating in every respect.

R.Rondo(14pts/6reb/21ast/1stl) was in heaven with all those players to Oop to. He loved spreading the ball around, scoring only when necessary.

K.Garnett(23pts/5reb/1ast) could finally focus on scoring more than rebounding and protecting the rim playing along Dalembert, and it did wonders for him.

V.Carter(21pts/6reb/1ast/2stl) showed that he still has hops left over from his prime and with the right setting he can really flourish.

J.Green(16pts/12reb/2ast/1stl) went reletively unnoticed in the first 3 Quarters, Grabbing some boards and scoring 2 points. He Basically Exploded in the 4th scoring 14 points in half a Quarter and made it into a blowout .

L.Barbosa(13points/3reb/2ast) is Officially The Beast Of The Second Quarter.

P.Pierce(8pts/7reb/5ast) Had a cold shooting night(3-11 FG) but fortunately, the rest of the team was Red-Hot.

S.Dalembert(10pts/6reb/4Oreb) eased the pressure off KG, Defended the rim, Boxed out and hit the Off. Board hard. Exactly what we traded for.

A.Randolph(6pts/4reb/1blk/3Oreb in 9 mins) Nuff Said.

T.McGrady(3pts/3reb/1blk) had a decent game.

Everybody else had a forgettable game.

The Celtics with a promising start with a Slightly diffrent Group as they look to gear up to win some games and build some momentum.

Next they travel to Milwaukee to face the Bucks. Also S.Dalembert visits back to his previous team and B.Bass facing his previous one. No doubt both will be looking to have big games.

Look forward to the Next game.

Final Thoughts.

Player of the Game: R.Rondo--16pts/1reb/13ast/1stl

The Bucks shot 49/38/70% and controlled the boards 45-38 but defended horribly and fouled freely.

M.Ellis(30pts/3reb/3ast/2stl) Tried to Will his team to the win in the 4th but came up short.

M.Dunleavy(20pts/2reb) had a quietly nice game shooting 8-14 FG and 3-5 3pt

L.Sanders(15pts/10reb/1ast/1blk) had a decent game sa a starter after the Dalembert trade.

B.Jennings(10pts/5reb/14ast) also had a nice game offensively and bad Defensively which wasent enough.

Celtics Shot 55/36/94% and, as usual, got a big contribution from its bench (46pts), and points in the paint (76 pts in the Paint)

R.Rondo(16pts/1reb/13ast/1stl) played good finally attacking the paint after so many games and kicking out for rebounds.

J.Green(16pts/10reb/1ast/2stl/1blk) had a nice game regularly attacking the paint and getting to the line(6-7 FT)

P.Pierce(20pts/2reb/6ast/1stl/1blk) had a quiet game until he was required to hold off the monta led run late in the 4th.

K.Garnett(18pts/6reb/1ast/1stl) played decent all around game all game long

L.Barbosa(15pts/1reb/6ast) played such a good game in the 2nd quarter that all he had to do was score 2 pts the rest of the game and still have a good game.

J.Sullinger(12pts/3reb/1blk) played good in the limited minutes he played.

V.Carter(8pts/2reb/2ast/1stl) showed that he can be productive with someone setting him up for easy shots(much like Pierce and KG)

T.McGrady(5pts/2ast) Decent.

S.Dalembert(2pts/5reb/1ast) played good alonside KG though he would have liked to have a better game.

A.Randolph(4pts/3reb/1ast/1blk) played good defense and chipped in defensively.

Everybody Else had a forgettable game.

The Celtics won another game in these series and will look to sweep the season series next time they play.

Next they have 3 day rest and a home game against TimberWolves.

Look forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Image

Player Of The Game: R.Rondo -- 13pts/5reb/17ast/1stl

The TimberWolves Shot 41/33/91% and Controlled the Offensive Board 20-11. Good enough to win against many teams but this Celtics team was red hot.

N.Pekovic(25pts/12reb/1ast/1stl) carried this team for three Quarters waiting for help to arrive. When it arrived in the 4th, They were so far behind, It was meaningless.

K.Love(20pts/10reb/1blk) Tried to Rally in the 4th but couldn't get the Job Done.

Celtics Shot 54/33/90% and COntrolled the Defensive Boards 36-27, Got out and took a comfortable lead in the 1st and Never Let the TimberWolves come Close.

Any time they got on a run, Somebody stepped-up their game to suppress the momentum and Cruised to the Win.

R.Rondo(13pts/5reb/17ast/1stl) Played great the Whole Game, bieng the distributor through first three Quarters(Especially 1st) and Scorer in the 4th when noboddy was making shots.

J.Green(20pts/2reb/2ast/2stl) played Good Off Rondo Feeds and Gathered a Few Highlights Along The Way.

K.Garnett(12pts/7reb/1blk) Kept Love in Check for most of the game and put up decent Numbers

P.Pierce(11pts/7reb/3ast/1stl) Played Decent within the system Making his shots and Grabbing weakside Boards

A.Randolph(13pts/8reb) played Decent Grabbing Boards to go along with the Lob Finishes

J.Sullinger(11pts/7reb) Played Good with Good Finishes inside.

V.Carter(9pts/2reb/2ast/1stl/1blk) had a bad shooting night(4-12) but did other things had to make a Differnce.

T.McGrady(6pts/1reb/2ast) Played decent in the limited minutes given to him.

L.Barbosa(6pts/1reb/3ast) was good off the bench and was used to counter the 2 PG lineup used by the Wolves

S.Dalembert(2pts/7reb/2blk) had some good rejections to go along with his good defense.

F.Melo and T.Mozgov had forgettable Games.

Celtics Highlights:
phpBB [video]

The Celtics Won against a good team from the West wtih collective team effort where no Player stood out(Except Rondo) but everyone had a Decent game.

Next they travel to Philidelphia for a back-to-back Away and Home Game against the 76ers.

Look Forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts.

Player of the game: L.Barbosa -- 21pts/5reb/3ast

Box Score

Image

76ers shot 41/17/81% and got BLOWN-OUT of their own stadium. They couldnt get anything going and couldnt stop any one from going off.

Basically a terrible game for the 76ers.

T.Young(15pts/7reb/1ast) and J.Holiday(8pts/5reb/9ast) were the only two players that wanted to win and put up respectable performance.

N.Young(15pts/3reb/2ast/2stl) pickes up garbage minute points.

Celtics shot 55/50/100% and played championship caliber game, with Offense as a well oiled machine and Lock down defense.

L.Barbosa(21pts/5reb/3ast) was a deadly scorer every time he was on the court, creating for himself and others.

P.Pierce(19pts/7reb/1ast/1stl) played what we expect out of him at this age, to score some points, grab some rebounds and play decent defense.

K.Garnett(18pts/8reb/3ast/1stl) was good locking down the paint on one end and scoring down low at the other.

R.Rondo(10pts/2reb/8ast) took a backseat and got some rest (playing 28 min) with Barbosa going off.

V.Carter(13pts/6reb/3ast/1blk) and J.Green(13pts/6reb/2ast/1blk) had largely simmilar game with hard Ally-Oop finishes and Monster Dunks.

S.Dalembert(6pts/7reb/2ast/2blk) had a reletively good game (considering he played only 17 min) and rebounded well.

Everyone else had a forgettable game.

Celtics Grab a blowout win on a back to back with a division rival.

Next they travel home to take on the same 76ers they blew out tonight and their confidence will be sky-high.

Look Forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player of the game: R.Rondo -- 17pts/6reb/13ast/1stl/1blk

Box Score

Image

76ers shot 53/45/100% and scored a lot of them in the paint (76) but ultimately Faltered down the Strech and Couldent contain a late game rally by the Celtics.

They mainly suffered due to the lack of a Off The Dribble Shot creator who could carry them late in the game when the game slows down.

T.Young(24pts/10reb/2ast/1blk) played Great even though he was undersized but showed a lot of hustle.

J.Holiday(23pts/2reb/13ast/2stl/1blk) Played Great Looking like a Top 5 PG At the Age of 22 And Has a bright future.

Celtics shot 54/33/87% and were slightly better at the boards (40-39), but got many second chance points (18) and got to the line a lot (14-16 FT)

Ultimately when it was gut Check time, The Veterams(Pierce, KG and Rondo) Stepped up and got the game back under Control and ultimately sealed the Deal.

P.Pierce(23pts/6reb/4ast/1blk) in usual Pierce Fashion stepped up his game in the 4th with the game on the line, hitting highly contested Circus shots.

R.Rondo(17pts/6reb/13ast/1stl/1blk) Played The Scorer in the First half and The Distributor in the second removing any doubts that he cant score.

S.Dalembert(14pts/9reb/1ast) played good, Rebounding and scoring when needed.

V.Carter(15pts/2reb/1ast) was good as the 4th scorer in the lineup

K.Garnett(14pts/4reb/1ast/1blk) was missing most of the game but came to life when needed most locking down 76ers late in the 4th.

J.Green(12pts/4reb/3ast) Decent.

L.Barbosa(8pts/3reb/3ast) Good.

J.Sullinger(4pts/4reb/1ast) Okay.

Everyone Else had a forgettable Game.

Celtics won two back to back against a division rival and will get a well deserved rest of 3 days before taking on the Nowitzki-less Mavericks.

Look forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player of the game: R.Rondo -- 14pts/9reb/18ast/3stl

Box Score

Image

Mavericks shot 51/53/89% and could have easily won against any other team but these Celtics are playing on a diffrent level.

Still the Mavericks Never gave up an kept trying to get back which was worth noting.

O.J.Mayo(26pts/3reb/3ast/1stl) had a breakout game hitting 4 threes and trying to dig his team back.

C.Kaman(17pts/14reb/2ast) Controlled the boards despite going against a big Frontcourt (Lol. Seems Odd saying this about the Celtics)

D.Collision(15pts/13ast/1stl) maintained a good balence b/w scoring and dishing.

Celtics shot 57/75/95% attacked the paint, got Bench contribution, Dominated the boards(especially Defensive) and played solid defense.

R.Rondo(14pts/9reb/18ast/3stl) had a teriffic all around game scoring, rebounding, assisting and Defensively bieng just one rebound Short of a triple double.

P.Pierce(27pts/4reb/3ast) started hot and exploitet the favourable matchup against Crowder. Overall he had a good game getting open and knocking down the J.

J.Green(21pts/5reb/2ast) had a quietly nice game scoring behind pierce and catching lobs fromm Rondo.

K.Garnett(19pts/6reb/2ast/2blk) had an extremly bad shooting night in the first half(0-5 for 0pts) but a mismatch with Crowder got him going and ended up going 8-20 overall.

J.Sullinger(14pts/8reb/5Oreb) had a very good game on the Offensive board going for easy putbacks whenever he could.

V.Carter(10pts/5reb/1stl/1blk) had a average game not demanding many shots with Pierce and Green scoring at a high level.

S.Dalembert(9pts/6reb/1blk) Along with Garnett locked down the paint after the first quarter bothering and altering shots.

T.McGrady(4pts/2reb/2ast) had a decent game and one very rare highlight

Everyone else had a forgettable game.

For a game with low expectations it was a fairly high scoring and exciting game which eventually turned into a blowout.

Next they travel to Texas to take on the Rockets and the Spurs and come back to Chicago to end the three game road trip.

Look Forward to the next game.

Final Thoughts

Player of the game: J.Green -- 19pts/8reb/2ast/1blk

Box Score

Image

Rockets shot 47/33/62% and were leading in the first half but when the Celtics turned it up a notch in the 3rd, they just couldent match it.

Still they played good especially Harden and Douglas and seems to be a good duo for the future.

J.Harden(27pts/8reb/6ast) played like a superstar but it is clear that he needs another one to seriously contend for something.

T.Douglas(21pts/7reb/3ast) was more of a scorer than a facilitator but thrived in the role and played over his paycheck

Celtics shot 53/83/85% and were average in the 1st half. They came out of the break on a mission and eventually made it a blowout with all the credit going to their Defense and the bench.

P.Pierce(25pts/1reb/2ast) was a great scoring option off the bench. Then again if you put your best scorer on the bench, you gotz to haz bench production.

K.Garnett(21pts/7reb/1ast/1stl) started great and kinda leveled off but was still great.

J.Green(19pts/8reb/2ast/1blk) has shown that he cannot get his own shot and playes out of his mind as Rondo's running mate. May move him into starting lineup permanently.

S.Dalembert(13pts/7reb/2ast/1blk) was all hustle grabbing 4 Orebs and bothering shots.

L.Barbosa(13pts/1reb/8ast/2stl) was great off the bench going for more of the facilitator role than scorer today.

R.Rondo(8pts/4reb/8ast/1blk) had a cold night and then decided to take the night off, not going to the bucket and passing open shots.

J.Sullinger(4pts/8reb/1stl) was great on the boards bringing energy off the bench.

V.Carter(6pts/4reb/1stl) also had an off night.

Everyone else had a forgettable game.

Celtics won a game they should win if they hope to get a good seed. Good Effort Overall winning their 7th consecutive win.

Next they go to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on the 2nd game of this road trip.

Look Forward to the next game.

Boston Celtics @ San Antonio Spurs

Season series 0-1

Last matchup against the Spurs was disasterous as the Celtics were severely outmatched but this is a differnt team now and on a 7 game winning streak.

I have moved Pierce to the bench for an extended period in favour of Green mainly to negate the effect Leonard had on Pierce starting (6-15 shooting).

Final Thoughts

Image

Player of the game: K.Garnett -- 22pts/10reb/1ast/1stl/1blk

Box Score

Image

Spurs shot 45/14/91% and ....... they ran the fastbreak well and ........ their bench scored well and ..... no thats it.

M.Ginobili(25pts/4reb/2ast/3stl/1blk) had to controll the game with Parker out and did a nice job scoring and defensively.

P.Mills(10pts/3reb/10ast) and did a good job trying to fill Parker's shoes.

D.Blair(9pts/11reb/1ast/4Oreb) did a good job at the boards despite the height disadvantange (6'-7" Center)

Celtics shot 50/0/93% and controlled the boards 52-40

K.Garnett(22pts/10reb/1ast/1stl/1blk) was Good Offensively and defensively forcing Duncan to a bad game.

R.Rondo(2pts/7reb/20ast/3stl) had a Typical Rondo game taking and Making one Shot and getting easy baskets for others faling one saaist short of season high 21 assists

J.Green(19pts/6reb/1ast/1stl/4blk) was great defensively but in efficient Offensively(9-21 FG).

V.Carter(18pts/3reb/3ast/1stl) was good defensively (On Leonard) and inefficient on offense.

J.Sullinger(8pts/10reb/2ast) had a good game on the boards and scoring inside.

S.Dalembert(15pts/5reb/1ast/1blk) had a good game scoring inside off easy Rondo passes.

L.Barbosa(9pts/2reb/2ast) had a decent game overall.

P.Pierce(5pts/1reb) gt cold early (1-7 FG) coupled with Green and Carter's scoring played only 16 min off the bench

F.Melo(2pts/4reb) Had a Monsterous Per 36 min Game -- 18pts/36reb/18Oreb. #Talent

Everyone else had a forgettable game.

Celtics take care of business against them and had it blown out at a point and survived a Spurs push at the end to seal the deal.

They split the season series with the Spurs and will not meet them again in the Regular season. They still can meet in the Finals but that's for later.

Next they travel to Chicago with an 8 Game wining streak to take on the Bulls and looking to sweep this road trip.

Look Forward to the next game.
