Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

We have a winner.

On the other hand since Jordan Now would have been cutoff from his HS team during sophomore year he wouldn't be a most wanted prospect by scouts so he'd have to stay in college for 3 years if he stuck with basketball, same as real Jordan. Jordan Now's career path might still be similar to real Jordan.

Isn't benji a hard fact guy? Doesn't count.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

Tue Jun 11, 2013 8:11 pm

yeah you never see benji speculating about alternative outcomes or histories or dicking around with alternate reality statistical projections

The best hypotheses are those based on facts.

"facts" "facts" "facts"...

if jordan played today he would be so jealous of kobe he would quit and take up bowling

This whole concept about "if he played then" is shit. Don't know what else to say. If the players from the past played today, how many of them would be better than Kobe, Durant & Melo? You just can't say stuff like that.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:36 am

Then what about the people who say LeBron/Kobe/Durant/Melo would have dominated back in the day? Works both ways.

Speculations are normal part of sports. It may be wrong to believe in what if's but it adds life to sports. Deal with it.

I don't know why the "if he played then" is supposed to be shit.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

It's impossible to prove, difficult to equate, but fun to consider and discuss.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

I'm not really surprised at another veteran taking a shot at LeBron. I mean Jordan already did, so what else could be...

Andrew wrote:It's impossible to prove, difficult to equate, but fun to consider and discuss.

Right on. But when it's discussable, right? Not when you are just saying silly stuff.

stereoxide wrote:Speculations are normal part of sports. It may be wrong to believe in what if's but it adds life to sports. Deal with it.

But your speculations have got to hold some ground at least. Saying LeBron would have been average is just one talking out of his ass. You can always argue on Kobe/LeBron, Kobe/Jordan or LeBron/Jordan, all sides will have enough shit but what Rodman said is nothing I have to "deal with". It's just nonsense.

You don't know something...OMFG WHAT A SHOCKER!

Well, Rodman's statements are not to be taken very seriously. Speculations are just ways to entertain us but not to be fully believed. It's like gossips it entertains people yet it is not proven if that is true. People who take this very seriously are just LeBron's diehard fans.

And bandwagoners also. They seem to be butthurt when anyone compares LeChoke to others. It's evident by someone here.

Judging by your post, Rodman is silly for saying it? NovU, shadowgrin, benji, Andrew, and Pdub are silly because they also discussed what ifs? And when is the right time for it to be "discussable"?

I guess then. But a respected NBA hall of famer shouldn't be gossiping you know.

Nice try with the bringing of those guys. Also I see you picked up the "x". Good to see that.

Anyway, the guys you mentioned actually all the guys that posted here didn't really discuss that matter. I don't think anybody agreed with Rodman. The focus point was more the Bulls & the Heat team.

But if you want to discuss, please go on...I mean, whoever falls into the "silly" catagory.

Just giving gossiping as an example. Sports:Speculation=Entertainment:Gossip. Rodman isn't even gossiping.

if you cant play the "what if they played then" game then there is zero point in talking about a greatest of of time player. when you consider a player you also have to consider the rules used during the time, the competition during the time, the team he played on and so forth. there are so many factors that need to be considered. what rodman said about lebron being average is what you call an exaggeration. people make these all the times. want another good example of one? lebron says he is 50 times better than he was in 07. 50 times? sounds legit

Aw, you can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forty percent of all people know that.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

Thu Jun 13, 2013 7:23 am

Damn, Lebron can't even carry this "star studded" Heat team.

Jordan/Pippen would go all "let's kill this Kukoc guy just for the heck of it" on him.

Re: Rodman about LeBron being 'average'

Thu Jun 13, 2013 9:12 am

to be fair it is the coaches job to get his guys to play for him. as much as jordan motivated the bulls they also played their asses off for phil.

Jackal, it's not over yet.

Sauru, I think you are underratting Spo a bit too much. He may not be as good as Greg but he is definitely not the worst.
