Talk about NBA 2K13 here.

I've just upgraded to an SSD. Didn't do anything with my old HDD but when I use NBA 2k13 on my OLD HDD. It started with the bday verification like it was a first installation.
My CD-key cannot be used even though I have a my player career. Should I reinstall it?

Close this thread. I think there's no way to do it. I'm using a global with .exe and bypassed it.

2K has screwed up where you need to get a new key after reinstalling the game. Contacting support.2k.com should help.

Weird. I don't need to get a new key and have reinstalled several times. I can just never connect to their network. Make sure you are using the same My Player account username.

which means the CD key didn't register, hence the issue.

But mine works. It's only after that does it try to connect. Otherwise, how would it know that my CD key was assigned to my first account when I tried to make a new one? That's the same thing I told support, but they gave me the stupid open/moderate /strict nat template.

I didn't reinstall anything. My problem is that I installed a new OS in my SSD which I just bought, I have a new registry. It tried using my my player account, it works but it says the PC key is already used.
Read some things on google, this seems to be a bug ever since 2K9.

If you already have an active account you don't have to write your key when reinstalling the game, when you get to that screen about creating a new account there is the option to log into an existing one where just username and password is required. This information is not stored on the registry but on the player profile file (USR file), if you installed a new OS you probably have a new OS username, try moving the games application data folder from the old OS username to the new.

I don't really want to put games on my SSD since it's really really small.-.-
