NBA LIVE TUP 14 PROJECT (FLYWITHME ENGINE)

I will be starting a new project for nba live 08 pc. Hoping to do something new and I came up with a way of changing the gameplay by using NBA LIVE 09 PS2 engine aka (FLYWITHME ENGINE). If want to help with project just pm me.

ok, I'll bite since I liked Live 09 on the PS2. What did you port over to the PC version of 08 from that

So far I got the .viv to work, still working on porting some of the skeletons anim and didn't get far as for the graphics or what not. I got alot of crashes with the .viv but done a few tweaks that manage to work with live 08. This project is going to take time. I cannot make any promises of when it will be release. Like I said since live 14 is coming for the next gen I thought I do something for the pc gamers.

the art isnt going to do anything and isnt worth porting over. The only good things to go after would be audio, which will probably not work (for OKC). I take it you grabbed the aiact.viv and just threw it in 08?

I somewhat done that but I also made a few tweaks. I didn't care for the audio or art. I wanted to take the animation, gameplay, and graphics terms didn't look much different from 08. I seen a few other project that done great with graphics. Maybe thinking of starting something new with the visual part. I wanted to change the gameplay and this was the closest since live 10 never was ported to ps2. I don't think it's possible to port any of the current gen live to pc. If so let me know.

this is just a theory i have ncca basketball 10 for ps3 you think mabye if i can extract some files from that that it could possibly work for nba live 08?

Only a ps2 port maybe will work. I don't think ncaa 10 is on ps2.

I will look to provide the best team of support for this project to make NBA LIVE feel and play more differently. As for every live player I will be listening to your comments about what you think need the most improvement in this game.

Wow, it sounds great. Personally I don't care about graphics, main thing to adjust in this game is the Nintendo 64 gameplay. I hope u could achieve your targets.

Alright everybody, so far so good with the 09 ps2 port. But I was wanting to get some opinions from live 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 what should I take from them to help with this project. Nba live 09 isn't much different from 08 but it had some things that 08 didn't have. I tweak with some of the animations and aiact. which is still a work of progress. Let me know what I should use from the other lives to help with 08 Gameplay. I'm not very interested in the graphics as of yet. The game doesn't make itself without the proper gameplay.

Which NBA Live had the best passing system.
03,04,05,06,07, or 08.
I thought it may be thoughtful to somehow use the 06 playmakers passing moves and integrated them into 08. But then 07 had fairly decent passing moves. Have anyone found a way to tweak the passing animation in the assignment file? Let me know on your thoughts? I really appreciate others opinion.

Absolutely, 05 defense is A MUST for a giving satisfaction gameplay.
About moves, those from 05 are generally the best ones, the backing down is much more realistic than crappy bend walking seen in recent NBA lives, with the precious possibility to press specific button seen in Live 08 too.
Except that one, other Live 06 moves are good.
Live 07 and 08 ballhandling moves are shitty when your player change hand no pressing crossover button, also running and driving inside are so plastic and give a sensation of static stone trying to replicate human being :)
The only 07 and 08 generic anim (I don't talk about go to moves and sig shots, I see something very good in BAYAG superstar AIACT for Live 07) I like is the defensive effort next to body ballhandler when he tempts to drive.
In every Live versions the spin move when you keep pressing crossover button is a little bit unrealistic, imho. (maybe in some AIACT it's possible to find something better, I don't know)
An other personal suggestion on my ideal whislist could be manage the Live 07 separate buttons system for dunk and lay-up animations, with the pro-hoop or step back move integrated in your move choose and ruled by pressing directional button or analogic stick.

Here's a video of the work I done to the dribble moves. I mix some of the animations from 05 & 09(ps2 port) into the game. Credit Bayag & Amir Khan who is helping on this project.

Bayag done awesome on the defense part of the game. I also added a few things from Nba Live 05. I couldn't catch everything but got what I could. And remember this mod isn't no where near complete this is just the early stages of this mod. We all have a life too ya 'know.

This is new I done the passing animation from scratch. I gotten tire of the lazy boy passes, and throwing the ball in the air animations. The passing on this game make it feel much better I can expect a tight throw from my pg without it being toss in the sky. It makes the game more fun!! I know you yall will enjoy this part of the game.
*I couldn't catch every pass but I got some to most of the pieces I added. The passing system isn't complete but still plays good though.

I was just giving you guys more passing videos to show the improvements in the passing game of live 08. As of now this is my main focus of the game, I was wanting to add more fluid in the passing animations. But there aren't so many I have to used what I see. What I got so far for the passing is more chest passes, better hand position of some the passes, and harder throws.
