Any practice mode.

It's so underrated that people don't even use it and complain how they can't rebound properly, do isomotion, make a shot, FTs, etc.

Situation mode? for recreating moments, custom scenerios/comebacks, video making?
Fantasy Teams in Live 10 (08 & 09?), fantasy draft but for quick play, and online for updated rosters.
Custom/Multiple control configurations
NCAA game to NBA game export/import (PS2 MM/Live 04, 2K6-2k8)
The D-League in Association

FSS was best in 08 & 09 IMO, being automatically triggered.

I was a big fan of how they did it in live 10. especially when the line up changed and you got to practice with guys you might not normally play with

EDIT: I was also a big fan of how they let you shoot around while it was loading. i think that was in Live 09

As much as I'm in favour of it, I don't know if I'd call it underrated or underappreciated. It's something a lot of people seem to want, hence its inclusion in Wishlists, so I think most users appreciate its importance even if they're able to put up with a set control scheme.
