Re: [Tool] RED Modding Center (Current v. 1.1)

Ow, as a fix for the "fields in wrong categories on Players tab" issue, you can extract the attached archieve into the RED MC installation folder, replacing all the files.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Is there any fix to the black arm glitch with this years Reditor?

No problem,
So you have a uniform using custom colors. You want to change the color of the Player Name on the back of the uniform. No matter what you put in the column "NameColor" in the Jerseys Tab, nothing changes.
You can blame me, since when I did testing for this in the beta I only chose Team Color 1, and didn't think twice about it.

there is not any known right now. Probably not going to be one anyway since the files that allowed that edit to be made last year do not exist this year. (rookiearms.iff iirc)

Wow that sucks!!! :( I did notice there was some individual player downloads available on here with some player who had black arm that were made into regular skin tones. I'm not sure how that was done

on PC we can straight up edit the iff file and change the texture used. On 360, you do not have that option. Last year, for the rookies, they had a seperate file that would overwrite the arm texture with its own.

Not sure how many people this will apply to, but something interesting I found.

I have been experiencing a bug, which Vlad is still working on, where after editing a file (association in this case) I cannot save it, getting an access error relating the .exe file (will post a screen later).

This has occurred when I have done the following:

Opened one association which has draftees I want to overwrite -> Filtered to just show the upcoming draft class -> Copied these fellas out into an excel spreadsheet.

Opened up another association which has a draft class loaded that I want to copy into the previous association -> Filtered to just show the upcoming draft class-> Copied these fellas into an excel spreadhsheet.

Taken the Draftees from the second file and copied them over the ones in the first file, all done in excel -> Tidied them up, ie having the same number of draftees etc.

Then finally I have copied the modified/replaced draftees from the excel spreadsheet, back into the first association file. Note: I have copied all the players (152 in this case) back into the file.

When I go to save this is when I get the error.

Temporary Solution:

I have found that if I copy the players one line at a time the error does not occur.

I am unsure what the cause of this is, it could be that something happens when copying/replacing a large number of players that is causing an error or something, OR that one of the lines I am copying/replacing is causing an error due to data inconsistency or the like. Not sure about this, will post further details is I encounter anything specific while copying the draftees across one at a time.

Anyway, not sure but that may help a few people until the error in the tool is fixed. Thanks Vlad for working on the error. Seems to me like it is a pretty rare one, so shows commitment to take to just fix it for potentially one person!!

Lastly, Jaosming, In your tutorial video for modifying a draft class, you mention there should be only 80 players that fit the criteria.... in the two association files I mention above there were 152 and 155 respectively, any idea why this would be?

I have it on PC also is there a tutorial on how to edit the textures? also thank you for helping me out with answering the questions (Y)

I find it interesting since I was just copying over 1000 players around a few rosters with no issues.

But if you are in the 160 range, is it the second year of that association? Maybe search/filter by draft year?

JaoSming, Thanks will try that, although I am 75% certain that I checked that when I got the 150ish, ie just checked the column and they were all 2013....

if that is the case, then I have nooooo clue.

Sorry that implied I just checked then. I mean "just checked the column" as "all I checked was the year column in the spreadsheet"
I will reassess when I get home from work.

Well I found that I hadn't fully filtered down the rookies, needed to add the field "IsRegNBA" that got it down to roughly 80 (81) or 71 in the case of Alby's latest draft class.

Anyway I have sent off all the info to Alby anyway.

In the meantime, would someone be able to help me out in doing the draft class transfer?

Basically all it needs is to apply the filters DraftYear = 2013, IsDraftee = 1, IsRegNBA = 1 to the attached Association File and then to copy the players from the first tab in the excel file into the Association file, overwriting the draftees that were in there. Much appreciation to whomever can lend a hand

I'm editing a MyCareer file and I'm trying to change the roles and minutes assigned of a couple of players. I'm changing the numbers in the "CRole" tab from 4 to 3 from one player and from 3 to 4 for another, I want the two to switch their Sixth-Man and Starter roles. I then edit their minutes assigned to the appropriate numbers for each role, for instance I'd change one guy from 33 minutes to 21 and the other from 21 to 33. I save the file and then rehash and resign through modio, but when I enter MyCareer in the game the minutes and roles revert to their previous state when I start a game. Did I screw something up or forget to edit something?

Are you playing a online mycareer with VC being earned ? If you are none of your edits will take place. You would have to change to a offline my career and earn skill point instead of vc.

Vlad i noticed with the 1.1 that now when you change a play slot to cap it is 50/50 that it actually takes. Just an FYI

Hey Vlad,

Guys, I was just messing around with my association file on the new version and I noticed that on the team_stats tab that the last column doesn't have specific stat name for itself, its simply called SomeStat, well after comparing my association file in Reditor and looking at it on the tv screen that stat is referring to the teams Fast Break Points. So Vlad, not sure if anyone has caught onto that yet, if not just wanted to share that information with you and everyone else.

Guys I also just found out what this column stands for in the PlayersStats_tab. The column right before Games Played that says 'SomeRtg', that is a players +/- total in association mode.

Oh, OK. I'll take a look, once the current stage of the diploma thesis is finished (worst case is Tuesday).

Mark, i sent you an e-mail. The issue is fixed for the next update, which will happen, again, once i finish with the current thesis stage.

MassDaGod, please, check both your PM and e-mail.

Eaglerock562, thanks a lot for finding these things out! Should be definitely helpful for every stats fan. Will be included into the next update.
