Contract extension game crash PC

So I've been checking in the web and seems I'm not the only one and it's a serious 2K glitch.
3rd year in Mycareer mode, I sit with the GM to discuss the contract extension, and when I accept their offer, game crashes to desktop.

Any workaround for this?
Because when I get to the free agency my current team does not offer me a new contract (even if I am a 2 times MVP) so I'm forced to pick another team (which I don't want).

Nope, it's a well known bug that affects both the PC and console versions of the game. The only solution is to not sign an extension and enter free agency; far from ideal, but unfortunately that's the way it is.

Yes it was never fixed....the problem is..usually the team you are playing for doesn't make an offer on the free agent screen.
The only workaround I know it's using Leftos Roster Editor to change your contract type and (if you want) how much you earn.
