it depends on what team is first in the teams tab, so top down according to ID

I don't get it, Jao. Does that mean I can't make, say, the Wizards the first team in order, followed by the Warriors, Blazers, and so on? Let's just say that I'm trying to reverse the order of teams. That means instead of Sixers, Bobcats... Wizards, it'll go Wizards, Warriors... Sixers. Is it possible? :|

yes, whatever team is in the ID slot 0 will show up before the one in ID slot 1, then ID slot 2. The names and such mean nothing.

But with changing that, it pretty much means it affects where players are assigned then, am I right? :| For example, if I have Jrue Holiday assigned to the Sixers, and if I change the Sixers' slot to that of the Wizards, then Jrue Holiday and the entire Sixers team would then be switched with the Wizards. Is that the case? :(

I'm not sure, but I think that not. The relationship between the players and the team is in the Teams tab. If you change Team to another Slot, you will still have the players in that team. But, now the players will have another logo background for the players in the Manage Roster Screen in the game. I don't know if that affects the game.

daninoz. just no.

TEAMID1/2 on the players tab controls the background portrait, edit player uniform, and blacktop uniform.

on the teams tab, the rotation is the only part of the roster that puts a player on one team or another. so if you copy/paste the entire row of a team, gigabyte, it will move the players as needed. If you just change the name, obviously nothing else will change.

so it should be,
1. normal license file, NOT read only
2. load REDMC, register your keys and apply
3. close REDMC, go and read only that license file
4. Start REDMC and smile

BobbyColtrane wrote:Just one quick question as a N00b - if I want to assign a player to a dif team in REDitor - do I just find the player and change the TeamName1 and 2 values, or do I need to do something else?

Is there a tutorial I can watch somewhere that covers the basics of using the tool?

There is a video tutorial link in the program's help menu that links to Vlad's overview, plus most of my specific tutorials. You can also click the "Learn" link in my signature and take a look at the specific tutorials on trading players with the tool. Just be sure you are watching tutorials for the REDitor, and not for Leftos' Roster Editor.

And also uninstall is impossible. (N)

details man, error messages, is it starting at all, run the installer again, etc etc

so we have to make license file read only?
where is it saved?

How long does it take to revive the license, I purchased last night and still have no idea how to get it.

i get this error and can't start red mc

exception EInOutError in module Red_MC.exe at 003dece7. The specified file was not found

When does the error take place? On the startup or when you're trying to open a file?

Please, try to redownload and reinstall it.

Also you should make sure:
1) The tool is in your antivirus'es white-list
2) You run the tool as Administrator.

@Vl@d! I dont know if anyone else has said this or noticed it and i dont know if it matters.. but the "Some Related team" after the rivals in the teams tab is the team that they last played in the playoffs last year. I went looking for a pattern and thats what it is.

Yeah, thanks a ton for the finding! I recieved your e-mail. Will change the text in the next release.

You'll also need to change TeamID1 and TeamID2 of Players, so their apperance will be correct.

Heinrich Goette, your real name Vlad?

I think, i've answered this question multiple times already. There are PayPal limitations for Russia, so i asked my uncle, who's in Germany, to help me with this.

Hey Vl@d.

Yes, i'll do this some time soon, but not earlier than on Friday. Will also record a couple more video tutorials.

I can't change numbers in "Teams" tab.....Can anyone help me?

You need to have the Teams tab licensed (purchased).

so we have to make license file read only?
where is it saved?

%APPDATA%\RED MC

Most probably, the disappearing file means, you're using not the latest key, which was sent to you. Please, drop me a message, i'll send you the latest key then (my previous message with it could got marked as Spam and eventually deleted). If this doesn't help still... then yes, "read-only" is the option, until i find out another reason, why it gets disappearing.

===========================
All the till-moment key requests got responded. If you haven't recieved an answer from me, please, check your Spam folder. If you can't find the response there either, you should write to REDitor@ya.ru

Best wishes,
Vlad

adding keys doesnt overwrite anything, it just does that, adds to what is already there.

you need to use a program to rehash and resign the save file before putting it on the xbox again
