CRASH PROBLEM - TUTORIAL SOLUTION

yeah at first i was experiencing crashing when the game loaded with out the new players.... i traced that down to stackhouses leg tat file.... then i tried to create the players and the game kept crashing.... so i just downloaded nba live editor and everything works fine now... im able to work with the players in-game no problems.... its must faster creating the players this way i dont know why i never did this before lol.....

My nba live 08 won't work after I patched the logos.viv , it always crashes. i forgot to create a backupfile. anyone help please

Then that has nothing to do with the crashes discussed in this troubleshooting thread. Just copy the original file from your NBA Live 08 disc or reinstall the game; note that you'll need to back up and reapply any patches you do want to keep if you reinstall the game.

Two things pissed me up
1) I can play Dunk Contest, All-star Game but it crashes when i try to play: Three point contest, rookie contest
2)When a game, for small lapses of the game the game like speed up and is confusing

Problem: rookie and sophomore crashed during dynasty or during all star weekend.

Reason: The default jersey or court for the rookie and sophomore are being changed or converted.

Solution: if you did some conversion of jersey or court, when all star game is nearing or when you play the rookie and sophomore in the all star game, you can save it for the moment and go to the db commander outside. And change their TEAMABR4 to their original, then load and play, after the game, you can save it again, and return to your edited TEAMABR4.

Solution:
1st, if you're assigned player in the all star game, be sure that that you properly set their ROSTERPOS from 0 to 11 or 14. No player is having the same ROSTERPOS.

2nd, your players in the all star game should also have an ORIGTEAM that is playing in the dynasty mode. These are TEAMNUM from 0 to 29..

I can play those games, I cant play 3pt contest and sometimes (rare) crashes in rookie vs sopho..

Soomething get really wrong with the audio folder, i thinks my brother delete some files and the Speech is no longer working, sound of crowd, shoes, net, etc just speeacj isnt working can you help me ?

You can always download the updates again.If not then deal with it.

Then backup your sgsm folder, reinstall the game and copy the sgsm folder back. You can also copy the speech files directly from the NBA Live 08 disc.

Hello im new here. Wow i didnt know that nba live 08 can patch. thanks for this site. my only problem is when i save my season or dynasty game and then quit game it all crash. please help me. i already use the the search forum and cant find same problem. thanks

Do you get any error message? if you get something like error #team #appearance or something similar just copy and paste your roster save to your NBA Live database folder. And just make sure your game is original.

When crashing it says> ERROR nbalive08/Workingdb/PLAYER.DBF ....How can i fix this.. thank you

Most likely, it's just a matter of tracking down where the issue is. The most common issues there are a problem with the court, a problem with the individual team jerseys, or a player has not been assigned a valid ORIGTEAM value.
