Yahoo! NBA
has the answer:
His house was recently foreclosed upon, though, and the new owner would like Swift to abandon the property. Swift, according to the television station KOMO (via Deadspin) isn’t going anywhere. And the rubble surrounding Swift’s current squalor isn’t something you’d expect from someone that turned 27 two months ago.
Watch:
Quite troubling, to state the obvious.

Remember when the Sonics drafted Robert Swift, Johan Petro and Saer Sene in three-consecutive years? Good times, 7-foot busts all around.

Indeed, ahead of players such as Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, J.R. Smith, Jameer Nelson, Kevin Martin and Anderson Varejao (Swift); David Lee and Monta Ellis (Petro); and Rajon Rondo, J.J. Redick, Ronnie Brewer, Thabo Sefolosha, Kyle Lowry and Paul Millsap (Sene). Hindsight is 20/20, I suppose.

But surely not all three can bust!

I find it hard to believe Swift can't find somewhere (in the world) to play.

It doesn't seem like he's particularly motivated to do anything constructive at present.

If he has enough hops to dunk and the ability to miss layups, he could at least be an NBL All-Star.

It is said that he played in Japan for awhile. But I guess that didn't go too well.
He looked like a nice kid when he entered the NBA. But... transformed into a dd on his way out.

should've gone to college. Imagine what 2 yrs of college would have done for him. He could at least have been a todd mccolough or birdman.

For what it's worth, "Robert Swift Highlights" does not yield a lot of results on YouTube.

Yes, his future doesn't exactly sound promising.

What's so wrong about that?
He went 12th in the NBA Draft and made $11+ million already.

Could've at least gone to college, improve his game slightly, maybe taken a course in finance or something...

Yeah and stunk and been injured or just dropped out or failed out or even graduated and still be foreclosed on after living in a dump because there was no one around to empty out his trash for him.
But hey, at least he wouldn't have blown $11+ million and lived on someone elses dime for four years while producing nothing of value! (Oh...well, scratch that last part at least...)
