what determines post position?

sup all. i was hoping someone could let me know what attribute determines how deep a player is able to post up. i'm trying to get mj to post up more towards the mid range, but he always seems to post up too deep for my liking. my guess is either strength or off awareness, or possibly both? i'm too lazy to do thorough testing. thanks!

I'd imagine Strength would have to be a factor, as weaker players are easier to push further out, not being able to muscle their way into position down low.
