Re: 13/14 Wizards [0-1] - Spurs go 'all-in' for title

Yeah real power move by the Spurs!

Atlanta looks solid still too. Would probably have Danny Green starting though, that is a small back court right now.

They do look pretty scary. A little bit of foul trouble and they aren't so tough though. :cheeky: Glad I'm in the eastern conference.

Liggins has been pretty good lately. Hopefully he can learn a bit from Tony Allen here and become my Sefolosha.

Thanks. :) I always like to have teams follow a strategy rather than just randomly trading for players.

I always read about Josh Smith moving to Dwight's team. So why not do it in this game and give them a new big three to replace Duncan, Ginobili and Parker.

I just did that line-up by ratings.

So you're gonna pattern the Wizards with the Thunder?

Durant35 wrote:So you're gonna pattern the Wizards with the Thunder?

Sure.

Gay = Durant
Wall = Westbrook
Beal = Harden
Noel = Ibaka
Liggins = Liggins

Not the same levels, but similar types of players. Beal needs to stop shaving too :cheeky:

Yeah you have built up a squad very similar to the Thunder. Could work :) You also forgot to add in Favors as Perk :P Haha he is a clear upgrade there!

In your recaps I wouldn't mind seeing the top shot blockers and thieves as well if you feel like it :P

I didn't compare Favors to Perkins because I didn't want to insult him. :fruity:

I usually don't include blocks or steals in my recaps because there aren't always that many to mention. If someone has a big blocks/steals game I usually mention it under the recap. Maybe I'll try it in the next game. Probably would only take less than a minute of my life to do. :wink:

Re: 13/14 Wizards [3-1] - Iggy & Billups come to town

Tue Jan 29, 2013 12:33 pm

Haha all good if you don't just thought that especially with Noel in your team there could be some good blocks numbers coming up. I always send up increasing blocks sliders, by default the game hardly lets you get any. Great win by the way!

A comparison to Thunder isn't bad at all. It's actually pretty similar. Strong start, BTW. You're a solid Top 5 team in the East.

It's really good this season because Wall doesn't even need to be a big scorer. I've got Gay, Beal and Noel all taking over that from him.

Wall is good at driving to the rim and drawing a double-team. Then you can just find the open guy and get an open shot. :)

He's averaging like 17/16 this season so far :crazyeyes:

Oh and speaking of being similar to the Thunder, I'm hoping I can copy the turnaround they made between the 08/09 and 09/10 seasons. They went from third bottom (23-59) to pushing the Lakers to 6 games in the first round of the playoffs (50-32) in just one season.

Last season I went 27-55, now I'm hoping for 40-45 wins. I feel it's a realistic goal as the east is weaker than the west and my team is a lot deeper this year.

Wall fouled out with 2 minutes left in the game. It felt like they were getting all the foul calls, but maybe that's just because I was losing. :(

An upset over the win would be nice, but this team isn't quite ready to compete for the top yet. :D HEAT'S TOO GOOD.

Tough loss. Still like how your team is playing though. How is Noel playing on defense?

6.3 RPG, 0.5 SPG, 1.2 BPG in 20 minutes per game. He's my top rebounding (by 0.1 :cheeky: ), but he needs to improve that. I generally suck at rebounding though so maybe it's just me. His offense is really good so far, averaging 16.5 PPG and shooting 69%.

The crazy thing is that Rudy Gay is averaging 23.3 PPG on 70% shooting. :shock:

Beal is scoring 16.8 PPG at 63%. Wall is scoring 17.8 PPG at 61%. As well as getting 15.3 APG. :bowdown2:
