How to have different settings for two XBOX pads on PC?

I have an xbox pad for quite a long time now, so my dad got one also and we really like to play against each other..

The problem is, I can't find the way to have different settings. He wants controls in 'old school' style, but I don't... In controls setup it shows as one pad. Hope you understand.

Or how to have two profiles in the game..

copying and pasting the profile is the only way I know how to duplicate that. The controls may be tied to the profile, so that could work.

Not a lot of us play local multiplayer here, so there might not be a lot of help for you.

I play my brother a lot on the PC version and we have separate profiles using our PS3 controllers. Its done by using motioninjoy...Give a download and try playing through that program.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't seem to recognize xbox pads. I haven't been successful with game profiles either, still same controls for both pads. Damn

Oh you meant regular Xbox pads? not Xbox 360? If thats the case then sorry I don't know how to do that.

try this
copy/move your My Profile.USR
keep a renamed one "My Profile2.USR" in the save folder
go in-game, change the controls and save

put your original my profile file back in the folder, restart the game with both controllers plugged in

see if that works.

Yeah, I got two user profiles now and they're sticked to the pads in-game when I choose teams. The controls are still the same though, so I guess that means the controls aren't contained in user profile at all.

nope, I guess they really are tied to the settings file

buy a second copy & pc and play online?
