Okay, so it's affected by both.

skoadam, just remove his ID from the team and enter it in the FA pool.

yes, i do like this wth reditor, but now i have problems.
players cloning, or i see team logo behind FA player. Or free agent logo behind team player :roll:
i dont know what i do wrong, just go to tab teams, put -1 in roster pos, and put this player id in FA right?

skoadam, you need to also change the player's TeamID1 & TeamID2.

Try the latest version (v0.16.1) and tell me if you're still having trouble opening rosters, and if so, send the file over.

When I say trouble opening them, I mean having the tools crash. Tables not showing up or being incorrect doesn't correspond to "having trouble", as that's just the proper offsets missing from your Custom profile.

generally i think that its immposible to release player without issue via editor, i try so many times, so different ways...and nothing, always something go wrong

There must be a value I'm missing apparently, separating players that have TeamID1 & TeamID2 at 0 and are Free Agents, and those that are in the 76ers roster, besides them being in the actual rosters.

See, 2K's rosters are overly complicated and stupid like that because nobody bothers rebuilding the roster format properly. There's so many improvements to be made, and space to save if only they did the job right.

jeeez leftos, u must missunderstand me, i know its not your fault that 2k sucks every year (Y)
all im asking is maybe u can find some solution, because it make we save a lot of time editing.

Hey gentlemen,
I've searched this topic many times and seen this asked but never answered:
Is it possible to edit a coach's ratings (Some of 2k's default ratings seem a little off to me).

I'm not majorly experienced with 2k modding, and couldn't figure it out with what I do know or by playing around with the editor for a couple hours.

Gonna have to wait for the REDitor, you were able to change the ratings of the coaches last year.

I meant that even when they're in the Free Agents and has the 76ers logo behind them, the option to release them is still there.

Nice work Medevenx. I'll add them as a list in the Enumerables file for easy reference, but I don't think I'll make them a combo-box yet, unless demand is high.

Sooo... thought I'd try decoding the Player Stats table by making changes in a 2K12 roster via REDitor and doing my research that way.

Well, the structure of each Player Stats entry is so unnecessarily complex it's mind-boggling. Each stat (e.g. GP, GS, MINS) has some bits before the previous stat, and some after. Take for example GS, which has 1 bit at offset 1146844 +0, then 6 bits at 1146845 +2. GP, mind you, is 7 bits at 1146844 +1. Then we have MINS, which has 2 bits at 1146845 +0, then some bits a byte after, then some more bits 26 bytes later.

What. The. Fuck.

First 3 stats I tried researching are all over the place. Why? I mean, seriously, why the hell would you have the table be that way? What reason could you possibly have?

Well screw this. I'll just buy the full version of REDitor when it comes out and be done with it.

Sounds cool, I think.. The newest roster has Carlesimo and Boylan as new coaches. Do you think they've been programmed in earlier rosters? (I personally don't think so) because remember when I searched all the CoachID values and I only got those like around 10 coaches in the 600s slots that had Don Nelson. or do you think there's a way to incorporate the Carlesimo+Boylan programmed coaches into older rosters? BTW, your voice in the tutorial is really cool

Nope. Latest roster shows Head Coach IDs for all teams being reset to 0-29, so they rearranged the Staff table.

the "Custom 360" mode has "Recalculate CRC on Sa" alway on..Is that a bug? I think the 360 mode must has this off...
Can this be fixed?

Leftos you think you can include the Momentum Shots, Post Shots (Animations), etc in the Players tab? I just noticed they can't be carried over because they don't exist yet in the Editor. Also, in any text file can you include a sort of legend? I never really knew what ASAID stood for even though I know it's the Awards.

Well, REDitor's 2K12 "General Editing Tutorial" pdf file included with the application should explain everything you don't understand. Most important thing to remember about the ASAID, never allow duplicates. No two players should have the same ASAID, or it can glitch box scores, stats and awards in Association and other game modes.

I don't really care about those attributes, so I won't be researching them. But if someone does the research, I'll take the time to implement them.
