He's running out of excuses, that's for sure.

Yes, a married man with a growing toddler and unused plastic musical instruments and with the holidays nearing to spend time with two families should have enough time to make a podcast about videogames or basketball.

What did you major in?

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

we'll say Psychology. It's basically a quicker way to get me into Grad school by just taking the pre-reqs. If I went for the full psych degree I'd be there for another year and a half.

I already have an Associate's in Civil Engineering from 6 years ago

and BTW, you guys can keep and enjoy your 2 hour plus podcasts, lol.

Finally got my PC back after two weeks of not having it. I ended up buying another motherboard since those fuckers at Newegg didn't accept my RMA and screwed me over, and it all cost me a pretty penny, but at least I got it back now. And holy fuck, is the SSD the greatest thing ever...20 seconds to fully boot Windows 8 Pro, 4-5 to shutdown, and everything in between is a breeze. I wasn't at first, but I'm definitely convinced that a SSD is the only way to go now.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Want to know the real way to go? Ssd for the boot drive, large drive for storage and games, and a lot of ram. Use the excess ram as a ram disk which can load different images of virtual drives for incredible performance gains in your games. Lots of affordable ram and it's like every game is on a drive faster than your ssd.

Good choice of not taking the full degree since you're only considered a psychologist if you have a master's degree. Elitist basterds.

More than 15 days after my final day of school and a month into my new job, I just found respectable free time today. Am I a sleepwalker or something? :|

So, today is the first 40°C day this summer... could be another one on Monday as well. Fun.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

So, today was the first -20°F morning this winter... could be another one on Friday as well. Fun.

You're lucky. We had a week straight well into the 40s. The minimum temperature, at 2-3 in the morning, was 28-30.

Had a couple of hot days here over Christmas, but the last couple of days haven't been too bad; hot enough for pedestal fans, not quite hot enough for A/C.

Damn, brutal stuff...We had some snow over here and we're in the 20's at night, and already that's cold as hell, so I can't imagine how -20 must feel... :?

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

meh, I went out in basketball shorts and a t-shirt to start the car to warm it up yesterday morning in it. Hair started freezeing, nipples hurt cause of the shirt, breathing is a bit rough. It's fine.

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Sat Jan 05, 2013 8:33 am

yeah we get into the 40s at night here and it's pretty brutal. last monday i actually had a bit of ice on my car's windshield

Re: Dear LiveJournal,

Sat Jan 05, 2013 10:09 am

I have lost any respect for you. You were wearing a winter coat then too, werent you.

My car's windows freeze....on the inside, just for being inside it. What is fun is driving in freezing rain, and attempting.....attempting, to subdue the ice's attempt to reclaim your windshield while driving.
