Online Travel Agencies

Postby dare on Sat Dec 15, 2012 2:01 am

So Business Talk, we have an Online Travel Agency. Our current website is already up and running but with little results. So we are planning to do major changes.

I just want to know what are the major needs and problems from you guys in terms of online booking? What do you especially want to see on a website? What are you looking for? Do you guys read their featured articles?

Hoping for some helpful insights on this. :)

I can't say the feature articles interest me all that much. Easily accessible information on prices, bookings and other relevant flight info is paramount to me.

How long has it been up and running? If it's just been a month or few weeks then I laugh at you (assuming you guys didn't spend the first weeks or month promoting the site nonstop so by the time the first month is over hopefully there will be new clients who have found your service and have a need for it).

Not about the changes, like how long have you guys been promoting your site actively? Did you and your peasants allot an hour a day or a week where you go to various travel sites/forums/blogs/etc. to interact with the members/commenter/guests to promote your site? The internets is a big place and nothing will definitely happen to that site unless you get the word out. Even print ads will do just to promote your travel agency.

Yup promoting it about 10 months, first is we focus on the SEO stuffs but now we are relying on Google adwords which I did not recommend to my boss. Now he plans to rebuild the site with all the SEO stuff and advertising online and offline. You can say that he going all in.
