Orlando Magic Part II
The Story of Warren Macy
Cyberface by Iceflow247 - Thank You !!!
Short intro:
Hello, after trying some teams around the league i fall back to my favorite team the Orlando Magic. Last time i won the NBA Championship in a team built around Dwight Howard. This time it is going to be a completely different story. After the drama is over and DH12 is sent to the Lakers the Orlando Magic need to rebuild and restructure their franchise.
This is going to be a mix of an Association / Fictional Player Career supported dynasty thread. To make it a bit more interesting to play the Magic this year, i am going to introduce the new local hero Warren Macy.
Magic sign local Warren Macy
With the start of the new season the Orlando Magic signed Forward/Guard Warren Macy, a Freshman from the Florida Gators basketball team. Warren Macy was born in Orlando and as a local he should represent the new face of the franchise.
Macy is a truer scorer, he can shoot the ball but also drive to the basket and finish with some highlight scenes. With his young age he still need to work on his body to get himself to an NBA level. Magic owners put much hope in their new local talent from the Florida Gators.
Some voices already draw the comparism to a young Kevin Durant, but this might carry things too far at this point. Macy is going to wear #1 on his back, jersey #1 has played a leading part in the Magics history. Now it is on him to add another chapter.

New look Magic struggle in Season Opener
The Orlando Magic lost their first Game of the 2012/13 Season to the Denver Nuggets. Especially in the 3rd quarter the Magic could not keep pace with one of the higher rated teams in the West. After coming from a loss against the 76ers Iguodala and the Nuggets were able to recover big and dominate particularly at the offensive event.
The Nuggets shot incredible 61% from the field which led to an almost 20 point victory having 6 players into double digits. Andre Iguodala led the team with 27 points followed by Ty Lawson who had 17 points and also 12 assists.
For the Magic it was former Nugget Arron Afflalo who led the team in scoring with 20. Glen Davis and Hedo Turkoglu could chip in with 15, Warren Macy the 18 year old talent from Florida scored 13 points shooting 5-11 in his NBA debut.

Suns (2:1) @ Magic (0:2)
97 - 92
Magic remain winless
In a very close contested game until the end the Orlando Magic also lost their second home game this season. Despite Jameer Nelsons double-doube and Warren Macys 23 points the Suns were able to take the charge in the last minutes of the game.
Another reason for the loss, was the high amount of turnovers on the Magic side. Those turnovers led to easy fastbreak points on the other side.
The Magic are heading a tough schedule playing the Bulls and Timberwolves on the road. After this, Orlando is going to face the Nets two times before they return to Amway Center for an encounter with the New York Knicks.

Game 3
Magic (0:3) @ Bulls (3:1)
93 - 121
Bulls dismantle Magic
In a very onesided game the Orlando Magic lost in Chicago with a 28 point margin. The size of Boozer and Noah was just too much to handle for the Magic frontcourt. Orlando lost the battle on the boards 60 - 35, with this lack of rebounding effort the Bulls already pulled away in the first half.
Led by Derrick Rose who scored 32 points, Chicago managed to win their 3rd game this season. Another surprise was Nate Robinson starting over Rip Hamilton, despite Robinson shot only 5-22 from the field it did not bother the Bulls at all.
For the Magic it was simply a desaster, the only spark of hope was Rookie Warren Macy who chipped in with another 20 point performance from the bench.

Magic (0:4) @ Timberwolves (3:1)
99 - 127
Magic loose to strong Wolves
Yet another loss for the struggling Orlando Magic. This time it was the Minnesota Timberwolves who steamrolled the Magic throughout the last 3 quarters.
Defense on the Magic side was not existent, the Wolves combined for almost 70 points in the second and third quarter. The performance from the Orlando Magic starting 5 was pathetic. Arron Afflalo was not able to find his game at any point, he shot only 1-6 from the field which led to a 3 point total.
Before the return to Orlando next Saturday, there is a lot of pressure on Jacque Vaughn because changes need to be done.

Nets (3:2) @ Magic (0:5)
140 - 130 - 2OT
Magic close to first season victory
In a very compelling game the Brooklyn Nets had to go through 2 overtimes to beat the Orlando Magic at Amway Center. It was by far the best performance from this Magic squad we have seen this year. Unfortunately it was still not enough to pick up the first season victory.
Macy shines - Turkoglu disastrous
The discussion if Warren Macy is ready to start over Turkoglu heats up as Macy had his career game scoring 37 points while shooting 50% from the field. On the otherside Turkoglu had a bad night shooting only 1-12 for a 4 point total.
Also Arron Afflalo made a nice comeback scoring 20 points combined with 12 rebounds, Afflalo struggled through the last game but seem to be back in shape. Without a doubt player of the game was Derron Williams, Williams scored 35 points and dished 15 assists to lead his Nets especially in overtime.
The Orlando Magic will have a revenge the day after tomorrow when they face the Nets at their new arena in Brooklyn.

Magic (1:5) @ Nets (3:3)

Magic grab 1st season victory !!!
It's finally done! The Orlando Magic grabbed their first season victory against the Brooklyn Nets.
In a very tightly contested game Orlando overpowerd the Nets at Barclays Center and won by 8 points. This was a sweet revenge for the 2 OT loss just some days before.
The duo of Arron Afflalo and Warren Macy combined for almost 50 points. Macy probably had his best game so far shooting 11 / 13 from the field. In his first 6 games with the Magic he showed his pontential and he is supposed to be one of the top Rookie prospects of the 2012/13 season.
Now that the first step is done, the Orlando Magic want to get things going and keep up that pace. Next ahead of them a meeting with the Knicks at Amway Center.

Game 7
Knicks (4:2) @ Magic (1:6)
123 - 95
Melo - Knicks too much for Magic
After the great victory against the Brooklyn Nets the Orlando Magic came down to earth loosing against a dominating Knicks team.
Melo was the player of the game scoring 32 points combined with 13 rebounds. The Magic did not have a chance at any point of the game this evening. Shooting only 39% from the field for the night sealed the huge home loss.
Warren Macy advances to the starting five.
With his great performances throughout the first 7 Games of the season Warren Macy is supposed to start his first NBA game on Nov 16th against the Detroit Pistons.
While Hedu Turkoglu was struggling in the last few games, Macy scored more than 20 points a night coming as a 6th man from the bench.

Magic (2:6) @ Pistons (3:7)

Magic win in Macy's starting debut.
The Orlando Magic got their second season victory at the Palace against the Detroit Pistons. Warren Macy finally made his debut as a starter for the Magic. Even he had a bad shooting night, he was able to chip in 18 points for the win.
For the Detroit Pistons it was another disaster. Brandon Knight shot only 2 out of 15 from the field while Tayshaun Prince did not hit anything this evening.
