NBA to Fine for Flopping

Yeah, that's almost as bad as the Bosh flop a couple of years ago. Has to be a warning.

Hard to tell based just on that gif; it could well just be a flinch. If Nene's elbow starts coming at your head, you get your head out of the way.

He doesn't seem to go back any further than Nene's elbow could have gone. And it looks like it's been slowed down just before the point of potential contact, to make it look worse. You'd really need to see a bit more after what's shown there to be able to tell. The way Griffin's arms come up to swipe at the ball doesn't seem to go with a flop, either.

There was definitely a protective reaction from Griffin,, but was a call made by the ref?

He nearly was expecting an elbow hit. If anything that was somewhat dangerous way to protect the ball by Nene.

You should have seen Karl Malone play then.

Still a bit iffy but Nene's elbow is a bit wild. You could say they cancel each other out and just move on.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to locate flop vids from this season. Better quality vids were taken down due to copyright issues. Couldn't find McGee's flop versus Zeller for the same reason, which was my favorite from this season.

Anyways, is the league still on this?

They don't seem to be paying it a whole lot of attention, but players are getting fined every now and again.

Yep, Jao. I meant the video though. It was hilarious. Even Zeller couldn't help but put on priceless smile on his face.

Andrew: Then it seems Bosh and CP3 got away couple times this season. Or maybe I just haven't been able to follow up on flop fines. Just hoping they will be more consistent especially with playoffs just around the corner.

I'd say that a few players have definitely gotten away with some flops here and there, with the league seemingly less focused upon enforcing that new rule.

Nice recap. I guess at least the rules are in place so they can continue to deal with it in the years to come, though they let quite a few slip by. Love that top ten, separating and ranking the top five would've been no easy feat.

One of my small issues with the list is McGee being a snub . Too funny not to be remembered. And no Bosh on the list? LoL! Hope he tries harder in the playoffs.

LOL, the top two aren't even flops. Chris Paul got his foot stepped on, Donald Sloan got tripped. They both turned into helicopter impersonators, though.

I didn't know being stepped on the foot will make you react as if being punched in the face.
