Not quite sure why Dexter thought that Isaak being in jail meant that he would be safe from the mob now. a) He can still get messages to his associates and b) His bodyguard and the guy who runs the strip club both know about Dexter.

Maybe I overthink things too much when watching, but I totally guessed that Isaak would kill those 3 guys instead of dying.

No, he thought he would get him killed in that bar, but he needed him out of the way. So, it's one less thing he had to deal with right now.

Looks like he'll be out soon anyway (Quinn given big bag of money to tamper with the case probably).

Surely the Colombians should be out for revenge against him now though, so that'll keep him busy.

I had a random feeling though that Deb, after bringing Dex the photo, would come out and say that she'd resign as Lt. or even from Miami Metro because she felt so bad about lying to ANgel. Obviously didn't happen, but I felt that coming up.

So Deb gives Dexter shit for helping Lumen out, but the fact that she caught them and then let them go doesn't even get brought up. I guess the writers don't want Deb to be accepting of Dexter's hobby so they just ignore the fact that she already had accepted it (albeit unknowingly).

I'm actually hoping that Hannah makes it to the end of the show now. Dexter is never gonna find anyone else like her so it'll be lame if they just kill her off like every other character that gets close to him.

This week's episode continued the trend of season 7 being a very solid season. But now that Isaac is dead I feel that the burn guy isn't even remotely close to being as interesting. Here's hope that they can end the season strong, they're almost there!

I find it odd that they resolved one of the stories so quickly into the season without bringing up this fire murderer earlier. It's like two seasons crunched into one.

I think the whole LaGuerta investigation will take up a fair bit of these last 3 episodes and maybe lead into next season. Question is how much will she find out and will she suffer the same fate as others who have found out Dexter's truth. There is always the option that Deb (to protect herself) or Hannah (to protect Dexter) could kill her.

I don't really know about Matthews helping her either. I mean he hates her and he promised Harry that he would look after his kids. Dobbing in Dexter to the police doesn't seem like it would fit with that.

Isaac died because the actor playing him had to start filming Thor 2. Honestly I think the arsonist guy is just a lead in to somehow tie up the Hannah/LaGuerta story lines that are going on at the moment

I thought Deb was 'helping' LaGuerta with her BHB investigation so that she could steer it away from Dexter. She basically believes that it's him now so Deb has kinda failed badly. It will be interesting to see Matthews' conversation with Dexter in the next episode and see how much he really knows.

Oh and I re-watched the pilot last night and damn, I've noticed 2 things that I miss already. Doakes and the music throughout the episode. Recent seasons really have suffered from a lack of 'creep', 'psycho' or 'muthafucka' in each episode.
