Greg Oden Debuts As Detroit Piston

The Detroit Pistons went down 104-96 to the Orlando Magic in an uninspiring display. The bright side of the game was that former number 1 overall draft pick Greg Oden made his debut for the Detroit Pistons.

Oden played 10 minutes and entered the match with 2 minutes left in the first quarter to a mixture of cheers and boos from the Pistons home crowd. The Pistons faithful have been sceptical of the addition of Oden to the team because of his bill of injury issues. He finished with 1 point and 3 rebounds in 10 minutes of play.

“It was good to get out there tonight,” Oden said after the game, “I feel pretty tired now but I am very happy that I got to play for the first time in so long.”

I'd love to see Oden increase his minutes bit by bit. He'd be a great sixth man though because he can't be a starter over Monroe.

10 minutes? damn that's barely gonna make 'em sweat!

I would have played him bigger minutes but he came back early so I didn't. I hope all y'all Oden fans understand. Whether he succeeds or not... we will see in due course!
