Need help deciding what team to do my offline Association with. No story since no time, so that's not a factor in decision.
I would like a team that interests me. Preferably one I haven't used in the past Live's/2K's, so that would rule out T'wolves, Bucks, Bobcats, Blazers, Knicks, Warriors & Nuggets.
Teams that do have intriguing rosters that might be fun are Blazers. I thought about Warriors with Bogut but probably not. I thought about Minny but they're too deep & stacked.
Open to suggestions, even if it is something surprising like a better team. Please put down your suggestions & reasons for it. I won't tell you ones I'm not interested in since you might be able to convince me otherwise.
Btw, I played on game of a Rockets' Association & just not feeling them. Maybe it's the Lin factor, I dunno. I almost want a team where they can just be & I don't feel to compelled to run it a certain way.
Cheers

How about the Celtics? One last hurrah before blowing it up, perhaps.

X, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say: "it's time for a great Utah Jazz association".

Yes, I have seriously considered them. They're up there. A couple of years ago no, but now that Garnett/Pierce only have a year or two left, they are appealing. It would allow me to play for now but also with an eye for the future.
I think of all the upper echelon teams, they'd be my choice. Might be fun with Rondo too
Thanks for suggestion.

Well since I'm a family man these days, this Association would mostly be for my own benefit rather than what would make the best story. Jazz are a bit like the Hawks to me, a couple of good pieces, but sort of middle of the road & no real spark that makes me want to choose them.
Keep suggestions coming

X, why not choose the Grizzlies. A team, that is up and coming, but has never had a really good long run which is what you call a dynasty. They have Gasol, Z-Bo and Gay which is one of the best frontcourts in the league, whilst Allen will give you lockdown D and Conley is an great all-rounder.
The bench is not deep, but with Selby you have a very talented guard and Wroten isn't bad either. Some talent there. Goal would be to either establish the team by adding key pieces or blow things up a bit by moving one of the big contracts of the frontcourt. Sounds intriguing if you ask me.

I actually really like the idea of an X Celtics Association

I did ponder the Grizzlies but....

I think Andrew sold me on the idea. For a change, I get to actually compete for a title from the get go, but given the roster makeup there'll have to be some re-tooling in the near future.

Total newbie here. Just started an
Association!
Anyways, I need ideas on what you guys wanna see me achieve in this association.

What is everybody's thoughts on player roles in Association? Do they need to be left on? I'm tempted to keep team chemistry on but turn off player roles because the latter annoys me. Are they essential for other facets of Association? Should I just suck it up & keep them on? Who else turns them off? Any ill effects?
Thanks guys.

I turned them off in 2K11, everyone's trade value somehow fell down to 1 star. Not sure about 2K13, I have them on just in case.

Can anyone recommend me a team for my first 'chise?

Interesting, I want to hear one or two more opinions. I'd prefer to turn them off but don't want it to cause trades/free agency to screw up. Maybe I'll do sims to check.

Hey!
While I'm waiting for the new update, I'm thinking about what team I'm gonna pick.
I want to ask you for some help. I want a difficult one, let's say the Heat are not an option.
I'm considering this points:
A) Weak roster, no stars.
B) Economic issues: It'll be a point taking a team with no sal cap, with huge contracts that makes transactions difficult to do.
C) Old players that are starting to go down in his career.
Which team do you think will be the most hard?
Thanks

Considering how you stole the "Flaming" recipe from Homer, it's kind of weird that you don't want to pick the Heat.
It's hard to find a team with all those points together, but I think Golden State would make a good association. Curry is the only true star, they are (I think) 15M over the cap, and half of the team is over 26 years old and suck (Jefferson, Landry, Jack).

Orlando might fit. They have some young pieces, but also bad contracts on old players (Hedo (He will pick up that 12M player option), Nelson, Harrington). And no stars.

High level jokes!!
Cool! I like both teams! They are two eciting options.
I was expecting answers like Utah o Washington, that are teams that I don't feel atracted to at all.
Plus, GS have different uniforms. Maybe it's not important for you, but I think that controlling a team that has a wide range of uniforms is less boring than playing always blue or white.
Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:28 am
^ I was going to say Washington before I saw that post.
Mon Nov 19, 2012 6:24 pm
lol
It's a real option anyway, even I don't feel atracted to.
Checking the standings, the last ones are the Raptors, Detroit or Cleveland, Phoenix or NO.

Just posted the match vs. Heat. Damn, they ate us during the 3rd quarter due to scorers being out. I'm having a dilemma. Perk's kinda slowing me down, Orton and Liggins are not playing and Nick Collison is his usual self.
Should I trade Perk, Nick, Orton and Liggins for Forwards I can use for small ball lineups? Or stick with the current?
Sun Nov 25, 2012 2:35 am
I'd trade Perk, Liggins, and Orton. Nick Collison is very good irl (2k always underrates him).
Sun Nov 25, 2012 2:40 am
I'm tempted to do an association with the Suns. Good or bad?
Sun Nov 25, 2012 3:03 pm
Do it and make JD an All-Star!
For real, I think the Suns would be legit
