The cpu is just ridiculous now

Up until I dl a new global file last night, things were good. but now the cpu is in god mode and I cant hit a outside shot to save my life. Every shot gets block, layups miss. CPU runs too fast and my player moves too slow on fast break. Cheatengine doesnt seem to do much. I've tried everything

Only Roster or sliders would cause that, or your own difficultly settings, globals wouldn't, far as I know thats graphical assets and code for visuals.

i figured but it seems like I can change it anymore...i'm talking about sliders

You didnt list which global. The guy michealvlutz(piracy fyi) has globals that he tweaked physics and other random things that will cause faster running/defense/animations in general. If you downloaded his then you would be seeing different results from cpu.

i have actually noticed some weirdness lately too. I have been playing association for the most part since October 31st. Last night I played an NBA Today game as OKC and got absolutely destroyed by a near perfect shooting, unstoppable fast breaking Atlanta Hawks. Same exact difficulty and sliders as my association mode.
It's possible I just had an off game, but it seems like the AI was definitely ramped up.
Is this possible? or am i just crazy?

It's happening to me right now although I haven't even downloaded anything at all for the game. Only thing I could think of is that my Player is in a sophomore slump.

I'm gonna reinstall. How do I stop 2k from automatically updating from the web?

I believe if you set the online data folder as write-protect, it'll prevent the updates. It still seems highly unlikely that the updates are the culprit here though, as art files shouldn't have any effect on gameplay aside from obviously changing the aesthetics.

I just reinstalled and it's still doing it. It has to be the updates if multiple people are having this problem.

If it was the updates, absolutely everything would be having the issue and that doesn't seem to be the case. Again, it seems unlikely because only art updates are coming through but if you want to stop the updates, set the Online Data folder (or the downloads folder within) to read-only and see how it goes.

I feel you guys man. Now before i play, i disable my internet so no more auto updates. Even if you delete your online file, it comes back no matter what SMDH

Have you tried making the folder read-only, so that the updates fail?
