Does anybody feel that jumpshot timing is a little bid weird this year? It seems like you have to hang a little to get the perfect release, which is not how I was taught to shoot the ball. To get the power from your lift into the shot, you have to release the ball as you are reaching the peak of your jump. Hanging on for too long will make the shot underpower. So, I shoot the way I shoot in real life, which used to be fine in the past games, and brick almost all my jumpers because I never got a "perfect" release according to this game. And it's not going to be easy to get used to the new timing (I'm afraid it might mess up my shots in real life).

Yup. I realized that too. I'm learning to release as my player falls. Not what i learned (to release near the apex as it disallows it to be blocked) but works in 2k13. Wish they didn't change that.

Once you see the flash beneath your player release the ball.
I agree that the late releases do not match how you are supposed to release the ball in real life.

Completely on board. Hope the timing is tweaked in the patch.
