At this time, two weeks ago, the release was already delayed. For now, there aren't bad news.

Ronnie confirmed on Twitter that the game is coming to Steam and other Digital Distributors tomorrow. No explanation on the delay.

Probably one of the digital distributors and they couldn't agree on something and they delayed giving it to all of them. Still, to go out of their way to ignore the question regarding the delays on their forums and more directly on Twitter is odd. Not a good PR spin tactic, ignoring fans and their questions.

It is a bit of a disturbing trend, the way certain questions are just flat out ignored if the news isn't good. Confirmation and clarification of bad news would be preferable to silence. Having said that, with issues like this they're probably instructed not to give details, a call that's being made much higher up in the food chain. It's a bad call though, as it not only alienates the fanbase but also does a disservice to their community guys like Ronnie and LD2k, who are left to deal with upset fans without being allowed to give them proper answers (or indeed, any answers).

Amazon says 12 a.m. US/Pacific. Can only assume they'll all get it around that time.

I already got my key from Amazon, but the game isn't yet in Steam, so I can't download and play it.

As of now (9am EST - 6am PST) Steam doesn't have it listed on its store.

Maybe Steam offices and servers are all in the East coast and they are not working due to hurricane Sandy? lol...

In my Steam it says $22.49. In the features it says "My Team" mode, I think it's a mistake on their part, can anyone confirm this please as I can't buy the game at the moment!!

i'm looking on the steampowered.com website, not the actual steam app. For me it says it's $29.99. I'm in Canada, not sure if that makes a diff.

Just bought it on Steam for 29,99 EUR. I hope that I will be able to use the username and password that I created for retail version of NBA 2k13 which will now forever stay on the shelf

It's a dumb mistake to advertise features on Steam that are not in the version that's being sold there, they're really exposing themselves to a lot refunds.
Can anyone confirm or deny that this is exactly the same game that was released on disk?

I believe that the key which I have for retail version is now linked to the 2k account i have created when first playing nba 2k13 (retail version). In a minute (as soon as steam download of nba 2k13 will finisn) I will check out whether I can login i with the same account I created while playing retail version. If it will not work I will create a new account with this new steam version of nba 2k13. In that case I could give that retail key away for free but then again you will somehow need to get the original cd from me

Ok, so I just downloaded and installed steam version of NBA 2K13 (retail version was uninstalled while keeping save and settings files) and when first running the game it booted with my created profile that I had for retail version, so I guess now the steam key is not being used at all, because I was not required to activate my account. I am running it now on account that I created on retail version and that I activated with SN# that came with retail version. Correct me if I am wrong, but does this mean that key that came with steam version is not being used ?
