i dont know what youre talking about , it works fine for me.. '
ive only tried it with westbrook and james, but im guessing only players with high dunk ratings can do this

I'm finding the alley-oop controls to be kind of hit and miss so far, as I'll either go into a shot or just make a regular pass despite being in good position for the lob. A different modifier/combo than shoot + pass would've been preferable, in my opinion.

I agree. I tried several time to do a self alley opp but with zero results. Is always a shoot or a pass or a normal alley oop.

I think it's great that you don't see it often

i don't know after trying several times ive found out that it only works with a free path to the basket but its still pretty messed up

True, though when there's also issues with throwing an alley-oop to a teammate in an ideal situation, I'd say the control configuration could have been better.

That is from the demo. Its success in the real game is pretty limited if you do it in traffic.
As for blacktop, I dont know if it was timing or what, but I had issues doing it in Blacktop 1v1.

as far as i see in 1v1 its pretty much inpossible just like in practice couse de pass button is disabled while in 2v2-5v5 its possible buthard and in quick games its pretty easy

its actually makes sense... you cant pass to nobody so it doesnt work...
maybe there's a reason for not seeing this happening so often, 2k dont want you to abuse the D with this unstoppable dunk.. (there is no sliders in blacktop right?)
you would kill yourself if somebody would have done that to you everytime in real life

even though in real life you can try and deflect that

I guess that's the reason I haven't been able to pull it off in practice, though it doesn't help matters since that's an ideal environment to get used to those controls.

if you add a teammate in practice (use the keyboard) it enables it.

I'll give it a shot.

I cant do it at all

. I really miss the LT+pass combo for alley passes. Pass+shoot feels clunky.

Agreed. If only there was a way to change the Alley-Oop button combination to 2k12's style.

I've been able to throw alley-oops to teammates in training camp and a couple of times in games, haven't got the self alley-oop to work yet though.

even with a teammate on the court? what player are you trying to do it with? Turbo+Shoot+Pass and Left stick towards the hoop right?
Sun Oct 21, 2012 1:51 pm
That's right. Yep, definitely trying that combination, with LeBron.
