That's cool. Hopefully it can be tweaked to look even better than the 360 version. And for AMD cards.

do you have the latest nvidia drivers and such too?

yes it does, but it depends on the quality you choose to use. I get a capped 60fps vanilla, with the highest quality I get ~30fps, normal quality ~55fps, and on the performance setting I stick at 60fps.

dear mr sming, i followed your tutorial and this is indeed a break out in the 2k pc gaming world! thank you very much , i cant describe with words how excited i am that it actually works , and how great my game looks now!
i did experienced actually a drop in the fps, but i disabled the v sync and it all became so smooth now..
here's a screenshot i took just moments ago, i have lagoa's global and the FXAA V2+ ENB mod from the releases section, plus your self shodowing! i really like it , what do you think??
tinypic just ruined the pic quality

i must say that not everything is perfect (but i bet you can fix it) , the crowd is too dark for my liking... it seems like im playing outdoors at 3AM...

it's because of the crowd. You can try turning down their quality, or do what I did and turn off MSAA to get higher FPS
for a more subtle effect, you can use the Left 4 Dead preset. The darkness isn't quite as powerful, but it's still there
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Sun Oct 14, 2012 2:51 am

then for some reason it isnt working.
what is your video card? do you have the latest nvidia drivers for your card? did you setup 2k13's exe in the control panel before doing the inspector edit?

nVidia GeForce 630 GT, yep I have the latest drivers installed, my 2k13.exe is standard I haven't done anything, but tested everything I could (with michaelvutz .exe, counter-strike global offensive instead of diablo III) and i don't see any significant results...
I have windows XP though.. does W7 make any sense because directX 11 is not included in XP

, maybe you could fix the problem with TeamViewer
Sun Oct 14, 2012 7:38 am
Im not doing any teamviewer anything
i am using windows 7, i have no idea if this works or not with XP
Sun Oct 14, 2012 8:02 am
Just for an FYI to anyone, I am running XP with an old dinosaur GTX 260 and using the hack or crack or fix or whatever you want to call it I do not see any difference between the settings and not using it at all. But the biggie is I do open and play still without problems. NO CRASHING
Maybe someday I will reboot and load 2K13 on the Win 7 partition and see the nice shadows

Sun Oct 14, 2012 10:36 pm
Can you tell us what's necessary to have for SSAO Self-shadowing? what mods? do i have to put mlp111 enb & sj1414 fxaa to get the effect?
Sun Oct 14, 2012 10:47 pm
lpcomplex, no, the solution JaoSming offers doesn't need any mods in order to be applied, it just requires you to follow the tutorial.
