Sixers vs Knicks live from New York City.
Starters
Knicks ~ Felton/Shumpert/Anthony/Stoudemire/Chandler
Sixers ~ Holiday/Turner/Richardson/Young/Bynum
After 2 tough losses to start the 12/13 nba season the knicks wanted to take revenge on division rivals the Philadelphia 76ers who had won there season opener vs the Denver Nuggets behind a strong on pour from Bynum (20 & 8), Jrue Holiday (19 & 11) and new comer Nick Youngs bench scoring (19 points).
Philly won this game 114-92 spoiling Andre Iguodala return who could only manage 15 & 5 on the night.
And it was Philly that jumped out to a quick lead vs New York firing home 25 first quarter points to the knicks 19 with the Sixers smna in the middle scoring 8 points and grabbing 8 rebounds too, Tyson Chandler was not getting the "Defensive player of the Year" votes from the refs in this one with the Knicks trialing 49-43.
Second half continued with more strong rebounding from Bynum and key baskets from Ed Turner who finished with 19 points and the Young's (Thad & Nick) 14 a piece, it took a while but the knicks got rolling behind Raymond Felton who's "Player of the Game performance had the Garden rocking with his passing (12 assists) finding everyone at the right time especially JR Smith, Steve Novak and Melo in the 4th quarter.
It became a game of defence for the last 8 minutes of the game as Tyson Chandler put it we had a "Block Party" with himself blocking 4 shots (3 in the 4th) and on one play he blocked Andrew Bynum's shot which he recovered as Chandler hit the deck only to have Marcus Camby swat the second attempt out of bounds to the gardens delight.
Key 3 pointers from Novak and Felton sealed the deal 103-96.

Knicks vs Sixers Live from Philadelphia.
Starters
Knicks ~ Felton/Shumpert/Anthony/Stoudemire/Chandler
Sixers ~ Holiday/Turner/Richardson/Young/Bynum
The Sixers still in shock from there heart breaking loss the night before in New York saw a stronger more defensive knicks team roll into town and sweep Philly behind steady play from Carmelo Anthony and Ray Felton who has won back the hearts of fans with huge back to back games, he didnt look to pass as much tonight but instead was of the receiving end from Melo (5 assists) Shumpert (6) and even Amare found Ray on back door cuts too (3 assists).
The Sixers had no answers for the Knicks offence or defence both just to much as Andrew Bynum lead the home team with 17 points most of which came in garbage time while Evan Turner had 6 turnovers with both Shump and Felton stealing the ball from him for fast break baskets.
By half time the knicks held the lead 51-46 and the Sixers never even got any closer than that 5 points despite the team shooting 43% from the field it was there 3 point shooting that let them down (3/16 - 18%)
Carmelo took home player of the game with his all around performance but the team still seems to be missing the Tyson Chandler of last year (8.5ppg 5.3rpg).
Final Score 99-91 Knicks.

Mavs vs Knicks, Live from New York.
Starting Lineups
Knicks ~ Felton/Shumpert/Anthony/Stoudemire/Chanlder
Mavs ~ Collison/Mayo/Carter/Brand/Kaman
After 2 great victory's vs the Sixers the knicks returned how to face the new look Mavs who had replaced pg Jason Kidd (knicks) with Darren Collison and center Brendan Haywood (Bobacts) with Chris Kaman, both were great but the biggest difference maker tonight was Jason Terry's (Boston) Replacement OJ Mayo who fired home 30 points on 11-29 shooting from the field.
Darren Collison chipped in 22 points and 8 assists in a game that was missing the face of the franchise Dirk Nowitski who missed the game with strained MCL, Collison also had 8 assists and 2 steals while the new man in the middle scored 14 points blocked 2 shots and snagged 8 rebounds for the visitors.
Iman Shumpert gave the fans a thrilling all around game of 15/8/7 but other than Melo's star performance of a game high 34 points and 10 rebounds it was the knicks cold players that made the headlines. Amare just 12 points, JR Smith 12 points but on 5-15 shooting, Ray Felton did have 9 assists but his 1-9 fg's for just 4 points wasnt enough and Tyson Chandler simply just isnt crashing the boards.
Jason Kidd only managed 16 minutes on court vs his former team and wasnt to happy about it , 2 points 3 rebounds 5 assists were his numbers, Oj Mayo took home player of the game and the final score was 115-111 to the Mavs.
The Knicks now hit the road this week for 3 games, Orlando... San Antonio and Memphis being there opponents.

Knicks vs Magic live from Orlando.
Starters
Knicks ~ Chandler/Stoudemire/Anthony/Shumpert/Felton
Magic ~ Davis/Harrington/Turkoglu/Afflalo/Nelson
After a year and a half of "Will he wont he stay" the Dwight Howard battle was finally over as Orlando were left to pick up the pieces from yet another superstar center leaving.
This Orlando team on paper were not projected to make the playoffs and there early 1-5 record was proving to be right and to make things worst Dwight Howard was just named west player of the week for the LA Lakers which i think did help motivate this current roster as the team from the Big Apple came to Disney town to play the Magic.
The Knicks who themselves were still adjusting to the 12/13 season again got off to a slow start playing little defence and allowing Hedo Turkoglu room to operate with the ball on his way to 9 assists he also had 8 rebounds and 22 points one of the best games he's had since 2009.
Glen Davis took to much on himself to score making it easy for rebounds he couldnt find the target until the 2nd and 3rd quarter where he was on fire and crashing the off glass hard (6 off rebs) he finished with 16 & 10 but shot 8-26 with to many forced shots.
Its was the battle of the point guards with Nelson and Felton both closing in on triple doubles but it was Ray that owned the 4th with his passing (6 dimes in the 4th) finding Novak and JR for clutch 3's that brought the Knicks back from the dead early in the quarter to retake the lead for good.
The Knicks bench was the story in this one as the "stars" rested making way for Ronnie Brewer's 8 points 7 rebounds 3 assists in his best game as a knick, Steve Novak also made the most of his extra minutes nailing 3 three pointers on his way to 15 points.
One of the most outstanding performances came from the 39 year old Jason Kidd who took revenge over the Mavs loss with an 11 assist outburst to go along with 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Final score knicks winning 112-100, New York will now face San Antonio on the road in 2 nights times.

@TheGardenFaithful ~ It didnt take long for Nate Robinson to wear out his welcome in Chi... it never does ! Bulls shopping him
@TheGardenFaithful ~ Pistons and Bobcats talking Reggie Williams / Jerebko swap?
@TheGardenFaithful ~ Its official the #Kings have signed Greg Oden while the #Hornets picked up vet Josh Howard to play off the bench #nbanews
@TheGardenFaithful ~ Josh Smith of the #Hawks and Dwight Howard of the #Lakers are the nba's east & west players of the week, Dwights best game came against #GSW with 34 points 12 rebounds 4 blocks / As for Smith 29points 15 rebounds 5 assists 5 blocks vs #LAC
