The NBA may ask for flopping to be removed from NBA 2K

The NBA may ask for flopping to be removed from NBA 2K now with fines going out.

OR, 2K can be ahead of the game and implement a slider for being penalized a technical foul for using the flop button. Sometimes you may get away with it, sometimes not, depending on the Flopping Slider settings.

In MyCareer and similar game modes, your player will lose his real life salary and other reasonable penalties as well

It remains to be seen how this will be handled in future games but I doubt it will have any impact on NBA 2K13.

Yeah, it's just bad timing on 2K's part. There is no way that they would have continued to implement this if they knew the NBA were going to start fining players. It will probably be gone next year.

Agreed. I'd suggest we'll still have the ability to draw a charge, but the added flopping control will probably be nixed.

the question is. did you already tried to flop in 2k13 and drew charge?
I use it sometimes but always a blocking foul.
If so, it doesnt matter if 2k13 will not remove the flopping button

yes it really matters. you can be in foul trouble bec. of offensive flopping .

it's like last year when they added the draw shooting foul mechanic, and suddenly the NBA makes a new rule for it. 2K's got bad timing )

Or the fact that video games are trying to replicate them gives the NBA more incentive to actually do something about these issues.
