NBA 2K13 released in Amazon & Steam.

should i get the cd version from amazon or should i wait tomorrow to see if its on steam? i really want the game by tomorrow but i really like the steam version:(

on you can decide that. I'm only getting the disc version since if Steam does come out tomorrow I can return it unopened or raffle it off through here like we did with my extra copy of 2K12.

Anyone gotten any response? This has really put a damper on my day. Really hoping it'll be up SOMEWHERE tomorrow.

SC1211, no response other than the "confirmation" from LD2k that digital release is set for October 16. No reason given whatsoever.

We can only wait now, some games do get digital releases earlier on steam (which doesn't seem to be the case with this one). let's keep our hopes up.

One of the key features of DD is that publishers can get games into gamers' hands more quickly. This defeats the purpose of DD.

It's a moronic decision.

It's not only the release date, but the way they "notified" people of it. There's a lot of people who were set to DL the game tonight, who didn't pre-order copies, who now have to scramble to find a copy or who won't have a copy for a few days. If 2K had notified people of the Oct. DD date a week ago many people would have pre-ordered for Oct 2 arrival.

My retail copy will be here tomorrow. Just received confirmation via Amazon that it shipped, delivery date of tomorrow by 8PM

just stumbled into this forum when i was searching info on tonights release.

just got off the phone with a manage from the local gamestop, they had no physical copies of the game because there were no preorders for PC but I was told that at midnight tonight it will be available for digital download at gamestop.com.

Well my copy is fully payed for and if I don't receive a download by tomorrow afternoon I will be obtaining the cheapskate version in the mean time to soothe my appetite.

Yeah I understand I don't condone pirating but I'm one of those that if I pre-purchase the game and it's available prior to release date (usually like the 360 version scenario) I'll nab it!

It's kind of scary that the folks at 2k don't even know what the deal is...or they do and won't tell us.

He might be wrong though, the "That's what they told me" is very vague, as stated above, 2K doesn't know what will happen. I'm just hoping right now for a Steam release. 2 weeks?? Come on, there's no possible explanation.

Why wouldn't 2K know? They're the ones who told the DD's to delay to the 16th.
