That song will be stuck on my mind for a while just like the songs in butterballs.

Loved how Chris Andersen really looks like him.

Guess I'm the odd one out again, I didn't much care for it at all; perhaps it's Cartman episodes in general I'm burned out on at this point. Good social commentary as is the norm for South Park, but the episode as a whole felt bland to me.

In any event, the first half of the season has been pretty strong, I'd say better than Season 15 so far.

I didn't comment on what I thought of the episode, just the song...

I think last season's first half was better. Shitty Sushi, Crack Babies, Getting Old.

From Taranto:
Life Imitates 'South Park'

"After seeing the 'saddest commercial ever' presented by Sarah McLachlan about crack babies, Kyle goes to help volunteer at the hospital, but finds Cartman already volunteering there. Suspicious, Kyle follows Cartman and finds that he, Craig, Clyde and Butters have gathered together to form a new business called the 'Crack Baby Athletic Association.' in which they induce crack-addicted babies to fight each other for a ball filled with crack, with the fights being broadcast on the Internet."--Wikipedia.org summary of "Crack Baby Athletic Association," aired May 25, 2011

"Three Delaware day care employees have been accused of encouraging toddlers to fight each other while the children were under their care. . . . Tiana Harris, 19, Lisa Parker, 47, and Estefania Myers, 21, employees of the Hands of Our Future Daycare in Dover, were arrested after a cellphone video emerged of them allegedly encouraging two 3-year-olds to fight in an organized battle. Police said in the video one child is heard yelling, 'He's pinching me!' A day care worker allegedly responded, 'No pinching, only punching.' "--FoxNews.com, Aug. 21, 2012

Great episode, but not so hilarious when it happens in real life.

The episode was alright, although I wasn't a fan of Randy's sarcastic attitude. Made him seem like too much of a douche. I guess that was the point, but something about that kind of attitude just pissed me off.

On the other hand, Butters' performance in this episode was classic. "Butters' Creamy Goo"

Agreed. I appreciated the commentary they were making but the sarcasm was a bit grating after a while. Like you said, that was probably the point but at times it did feel like they were stretching the joke a bit too far. It worked, but was certainly annoying at the same time.

That was also probably the filthiest they've gone with a joke in a while as well. Great timing with Randy at the end there, too. *Drinks* *beat* "This is cum".

Oh, well, Butters, that's just the friendly compass. See, whenever you have friends in the area your little compass there tells you where they are.

Latest episode was alright too. I'd compare it to the Jersey Shore episode though, in that it's right on the money and sending up something that deserves to be bashed, but it's kind of repetitive to do so for 20 minutes. I'm guessing they're not the biggest fans of James Cameron; his theme song was pretty funny, it reminded me a little of Russell Crowe's "Fightin' Round the World".

I actually really liked both eps so far.

I will agree the sarcastaball thing got annoying with randy, but the other stuff cracked me up the entire time. Obviously they hate Jim Rome...Im also a huge NFL fan and if you've paid attention at all to things being done/said right now...that game is in a dangerous area. They have to figure something out now.

I liked the fat/honey boo boo ep because alot of "disability" nowadays is people who just need to try. Im not saying it all is. But this defeatist attitude people get when things are going wrong makes them alot more disabled than they truly need to be. Cartman going around suing everyone was also funny.

I'd actually go the other way on the james cameron thing. I think they probably like his movies but they get overhyped because the press always says how revolutionary his movies are. He was the only one that could "raise the bar" because his movies enter the public eye as "highly respected" even when they dont deserve it.

What I meant is they portrayed him as a self-satisfied douche, so my guess is that they don't particularly like him even if they do enjoy his movies. I have no problem with that, I thought that stuff was pretty funny, but you may be right in that it was more about the hype for his movies rather than any attitude he's diplayed or things he's said.

The Cameron skit and song was stupid. I watched it online so I quit paying attention until those segments ended.

And Honey Boo Boo is a pretty bad American show. Luckily, those of you not living in the US are not subjected to that type of junk.

A lot of that stuff does make it here eventually via pay TV. Doesn't look like it's airing here just yet, though I believe Toddlers & Tiaras does. South Park's send-up is about as much as I want to see of either.
