just going by A.I.'s shoes, looks like we are getting high res or HD shoes this time around. The Bulls jerseys are still wrong with the NBA logo in the high position instead of the correct low position on the shorts . Don't know why they never get that right. The Magic/Sixers jerseys have it positioned correctly

The shoes resolution is certainly higher, and they have some nice reflections on them. Will make life easier on modders, and should give us even more incentive to mess with the in-game shoe creator.

Iverson? Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Looks like we're getting the '01 Sixers this year.

and he's not even wearing generic shoes.

Im just wondering why dont they have armpit hair? Would that make the video game rating be for more mature audiences or something?

Unlikely, in my opinion. T-Mac, Carter and Allen are all still active.

bowdown, no, armpit hair has nothing to do with ESRB ratings. Think about it. It would either be a global texture which would make all players have the same armpit hair drawn on their skin, or it would add completely unnecessary (IMO) complexity to the cyberfaces.

Even if they used 3 or 4 different textures to differentiate, it would still have to be drawn on the skin, and that would just look weird. It's not like they would devote time into making 3D armpit hair models, including working on the collision detection and geometry required as the arm shifts around and the armpit opens and closes or changes angle.

I guess that pretty much confirms that we'll have a similar assortment of historical teams in this year's game. The All-Star trailer also shows Spud Webb and George Gervin wearing #8 for the Bulls, the latter suggesting that the 1986 Bulls are in the game again.
