First he wanted the team to himself in a basketball meca city, until the Nets fucked it up. Then the Lakers. Top 2 biggest cities for any sports. His only 2 choices being NYK and LAL, makes me think money/fame was the biggest factor in his decision. I sorta stopped liking this kid though he probably made a good choice to join the Lakers if he was chasing the ring right now. Will be very hard for me to root for Nash.

and what about your sources? all the links you post are just retreads

Gasol I think will be fine, his passing is going to be fun to watch, I think he'll move a bit more to the post now that he doesn't have to be playmaker on the perimeter. Kobe decides partly for the team who the head coach is? Where do you get this stuff from? He wasn't even consulted when Brown was hired, he was pretty much lobbying for Brian Shaw to take over the coaching duties. So again, where do you get this stuff from?
Everything will just fade away? Why? Kobe has two years left on his contract, I think he'll retire after that. Gasol will be an expiring contract as well. Then you've got Artest who has a player option and will probably accept it given his sorry state, but the Lakers still have the ability to amnesty him. Blake, Duhon & Hill all expire the same year. Now you've got the best center in the league (if he resigns) leading a very, very storied franchise. So really, "fade away, you know what i mean![]()
" is just you doing what you do best, spewing bullshit.

kobe and mike brown doesn't have that chemistry yet and i think only phil can control him. there were many scenarios where kobe decides the plays on crucial moments. so if this mega team is underachieving, eventually mike possibly will be fired, and basically kobe adds to that decision making process. yep, thats right, he want's b.shaw. what i mean about "decides partly for the team" is he will always be involved or informed, rather, before the decisions. i mean, he's kobe right? it would be an insult to him if not.
and about that "everything will just fade away", after kobe got his 6th ring.. so he will left nash(40's) and dwight w/ who? let's hope jordan hill will be the next pau gasol and morris is the next kobe?
according to me? or do you want me to post those articles in w/c dwight himself, his agent, and rob hennigan said that..or your just on semi-coma when those news were everywhere? still glad you've made it..
and about pau, he's never achieve his full potential when playing w/ another post player as well as w/ dwight..if your judging their tandem just because of pau's passing skills(ok, now they've got the nxt magic johnson?), and justifying it like that would simply make you stupid..again, as a hardworker in dwight, pau tends to be lazy(pau gasoft would continue, if your a laker avid fan, you'll understand this), he might average double-double w/ bynum but i think it would drop now w/ dwight..this makes jamison more effective playing w/ dwight.. i expect some "drama" still, about comparisons on bynum(more offensively gifted) vs howard as the season goes on

Kobe matured a bit over the years from total uncoachable to stubborn but mostly coachable. Mike Brown seems to get along with him an Metta pretty well. He isn't the great manipulator, but he seems ok, dealing with the egos.
When Kobe retires, his contract will come off the books, which means, Lakers will be able (as they were over decades) to restock the roster with good players. Lakers might have a tough year or two, but will be pretty well again.
How Mike Brown plans to use Gasol, I don't know now. It will take some time to get Howard integrated to the team, when he's finally healthy, but I'm sure he'll do fine. Gasol's numbers may drop a bit, but how that might influence the Lakers in general has to be seen.

That was the intention, but it sure didn't work out that way.
