2012 London Olympics: Spain vs France....

Image

After France's Nicolas Batum delivered a vicious punch to the groin of Spain guard Juan Carlos Navarro, Batum left no confusion over his intentions. "I wanted to give him a good reason to flop," Batum said....then later said: "I want to apologize for my stupid act at the end, I showed a bad image of France and myself, Congrats to team Spain."

good sportsmanship Batum....ouch.

I don't see anything wrong with what Batum did. He clearly went after the balls. No foul there.

More reason to be glad that T'wolves got AK47 & not Batum

Its just one incident it is not like Batum has a habit of cheap stuff like this. But Kirilinko is a pretty good signing still

slightly off-topic, but anyone notice all the young guys in the olympics that the Blazers had and let go? Mills, Batum, Rodriguez, Khryapa, Monia

Didn't Batum do that because of all the flopping Spain was doing? When they did the recap I could of sworn someone claimed that... It was pretty unnecessary though.

29-30 is young?

They didn't let Batum go.

no, but they were collecting a good group of young players a few years back and decided to dump them in favor of guys like Outlaw, Webster, Jack who all are not part of the team anymore either. and yeah they finally had some sense in keeping batum

I think you may need to re-evaluate your timeline of the Portland roster.

The problems is he went after 2 balls at once. He's too greedy, just take one and give one to others, he must lean to share. Beside, he's playing and still after corndog, everyone know "no food on the court".

Now if Batum can do the same against Miami's flopping big 3, I would respect him even more.

Dirty pool, but seemingly par for the course in this Olympic tournament.
