Bynum Would Have Interest In Cavaliers, Mavericks As Free AgentAndrew Bynum has shown no interest in signing an extension with the Magic should they agree to a trade with the Lakers involving Dwight Howard.
Like Howard, Bynum will become a free agent in the offseason of 2013.
If Bynum doesn't sign an extension, the Cavaliers and Mavericks are among the teams with cap space that would interest him.
So much for Bynum being a viable option then.

Nets, Magic, Cavaliers Close To Dwight Howard Trade
Jul 08, 2012 11:48 PM EDT
The Magic, Nets and Cavaliers are near completion on a trade centered around Dwight Howard, according to sources that spoke with RealGM's Jarrod Rudolph.
The currently proposed deal will include 11 players, cash and multiple draft picks.
Orlando plans to talk to other teams before signing off on the trade of Howard to Brooklyn, according to sources.
Cleveland will help facilitate the trade by taking Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade while receiving additional compensation.
The Magic will receive Brook Lopez via sign-and-trade, along with multiple first round picks.
A deal could be fully agreed upon by the end of Monday.

Looks like it finally comes to an end.... well i am not excited about Brook Lopez yet, but probably the best you can get out of this situation at the moment.
So once again blew the roster and start over, Magic fans are used to this

If he dedicates himself to actually rebounding the ball, it's probably better than renting Bynum for a season.

There were rumors that Dwight was feeling remorse i suppose. When he opted in for the final year in his contract, he thought they still had a chance at winning one for Orl. I don’t know what else went behind the scenes, but the biggest rumor was that Dwight didn’t want to go to LA so he just signed on for another year and that also left the Nets with all their assets and players to build on with Dwight + D-Will. AND thus retaining crash's birdy rights forming a formidable starting 5(fantastic four should I say?

)
Again, give credit's to the Brooklyn King's, Billy King/Proky/Dwill as everything went according to their plan..

Don't worry, they're far more likely to team up in Atlanta than Dallas.

My fantasy land is like the Pyro from Team Fortress 2, it's a world where D-will, Dwight Howard and Earl Boykins with Micheal Jordan coming out of retirement to dominate the NBA in Dallas.

@WojYahooNBA: In proposed blockbuster, Orlando would send Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark to Brooklyn, sources tell Y! Sports.
@WojYahooNBA: In current structure of deal, Orlando gets Brook Lopez, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Luke Walton and 3 or 4 1st rounders, sources tell Y!

Luke Walton, at least we get some Championship experience.

And a lengthier article with the latest scenario:
Proposed Dwight Howard deal to Nets could contain more than 10 playersIt's not a fantastic deal for Orlando, at least in the short term, but teams seldom get equal value when they trade a superstar. A Bynum deal would be pretty even, but since he's not interested in signing an extension it's no better in the long run. This deal would let Orlando move a bad contract (Richardson) and acquire a decent centre who could be reasonably good for them if he actually makes an effort to rebound the ball. The multiple first round picks are probably the most appealing aspect of the deal though, the most helpful assets as they look to start over.
Great move for Brooklyn though, without a doubt.

Looks like the wagons are headed to Brooklyn.
Tue Jul 10, 2012 4:09 pm
The Magic should not get him what he wants... I just hope any team has the balls to trade for him and hope for a longterm stint (i.e. the Rockets). They have much better assets to rebuild then all those late 1st round picks the Magic would acquire in the Nets scenario. The Rockets could also take contracts of Turkoglu and/or Richardson.
Is Howard even able to sign with the Nets in the offseason? Wouldn't he have to accept a huge paycut?
There is a bank in every city and those players are all about money, so any other team than the Nets should take the risk and trade for him.

Ugly process, but almost getting there. Some interesting basketball team the Nets will have next season if this really goes down.
