Dirk leaving would be akin to Pierce being shipped out of Boston or Kobe from the Lakers.

Just wrong. :|

I don't see why players wouldn't want to go to the Mavericks. They have such a giving owner, they have been contenders for years, finally won a 'ship, and still have a solid superstar in Dirk Nowitzki who should have a few good years left.

The Mavs won't trade Dirk, you crazy?

i dont think they will either i said they need to. they will not win with him, time to reboot. they swung and they missed and missed in a big way. you can sit and let him play out his time then start to rebuild 3-4 years from now or you can send him out when he has value, give him a shot at another ring while getting some young talent

Cuban simply just failed by gambling w/ dwill. He was one of the best owners before their championship run thus many players wants to play w/ them. after that, he didn't offer chandler/jjbarea 'coz he believed he might get dwill this offseason..

This and at the time it began, gambling on D-Will and Howard was a smart thing, both had Dallas high on there list of possible destinations, but then Howard went off during the reg. season and Deron picked more money, and the possibility of having Joe Johnson and Dwight Howard on his team over Dallas.

That's pretty good. (Y) Putting the player's names on there kind of spoils the effect of the cartoon though.

Almost all of the players are recognizable, especially LeBron James.

Exactly. It takes away from the joke/commentary by explicitly labelling them. Still good though.

The one who drew that must be an editorial cartoonist.

I wouldn't have recoqnized D-Will and Humpries.

In other news...

In the aftermath of recent comments made by agent Bouna Ndiaye on behalf of his client, Portland Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum, multiple racist and misogynistic Twitter messages were directed to Batum and his long-time girlfriend on Twitter. Batum's Twitter account is @Nicolas88Batum; His girlfriend's is @MissBatum. "US Minnesota fans Don't want Your OVERPAID [racial epithet] [rear end] on our team," read the message from one user. "Plus your French. Your kind don't belong here.

Rockets agree to deal Camby to Knicks

Marcus Camby is returning to New York, while the Houston Rockets continue to reshape their roster.

The 38-year-old Camby agreed Monday to rejoin the Knicks in a deal that sends three players and two second-round draft picks to Houston, according to a person with direct knowledge of the move.

The Rockets will get guard Toney Douglas, centers Josh Harrelson and Jerome Jordan and second-round picks in 2014 and `15.

Fuck.

Good deal for the Knicks, it's a fair contract and they can certainly afford to give up those players and picks. As for the Rockets...well, they got something in return, I guess.

Think he will make it all three seasons?

Re: 2012-2013 Offseason

Three years may be one year too much, but Camby is still in a good shape, so 13 mio seems ok.

Re: 2012-2013 Offseason

Tue Jul 10, 2012 7:51 pm

I think he could make it all three seasons. He's remained relatively healthy the last few years and he won't be called upon to play huge minutes with Tyson Chandler around.

The Sixers have traded (most likely) the rights to Edin Bavcic to Golden State for Dorell Wright. A good guy to get for free, but this probably means they are serious this time about trading Iguodala. Watch someone get him for old tires and a can of pickles in the next few days.

So yeah, looks like the Heat aren't getting our next year 1st round pick at all.

Re: 2012-2013 Offseason

Wed Jul 11, 2012 11:03 am

Wright's a steal at that price but yeah, that does make you wonder if Iguodala is on the way out. I'm not sure why they'd be in a rush to do that.

Re: 2012-2013 Offseason

Wed Jul 11, 2012 11:07 am

They're not even rushing as I think he won't be traded when it's already allowed. My best guess is that they'll wait until the Olympics is over to avoid affecting his performance while the tourney is going on.

Lou Williams is going to Atlanta

Blake Griffin signs a 5 year extension

This is pretty good for the Clippers, especially if they resign Paul.

Wed Jul 11, 2012 4:21 pm

If I were the Clippers, I will trade Blake Griffin for Dwight Howard since CP3 is there (I really want to see this two playing for one team)

Indeed. The best point guard and the best center together. It'd be a treat for the fans, no doubt.
