Hey guys, it's been a while since I've visited this forum, it's nice to see it is still going strong! With senior year coming to an end, I thought give an Association one last hi-rah before university in the fall. I will be starting this Association at the beginning of the 2011/2012 season, using rosters accurate as of May 25th. I will be using the Detroit Pistons. Though they are no where close to where they used to be in the early-mid 2000's, I feel they have some solid pieces and are headed in the right direction. Now that the informalities are out of the way, lets get this show on the road!

2011/2012 Preseason
The success of the Pistons this season will rely heavily on Rodney StuckeyOne of Lawrence Frank’s patented beliefs is that the Pistons’ greatest challenge doesn’t necessarily come from other teams, but themselves. Well, the Pistons literally got a close-up look at one of their biggest hurdle Saturday, facing one another in an intra-squad scrimmage. It was a win for all parties involved. The Motor City was able to get a first-hand look at the Pistons, General Manager Joe Dumars was able to visit his old stomping grounds, the new players demonstrated their talent and the Pistons were able to produce a great show. The beauty of an inter-squad scrimmage is that if everyone does their job, no one goes home a loser. And while this was the pervasive theme throughout night, in the actual game itself, Team White, led by Rodney Stuckey was able to squeak out a 102-98 victory over Ben Gordon and Team Blue.
Point Guard: B+With lighting quick rookie Brandon Knight now running the Piston offense, the future certainly looks bright. Look for Rodney Stuckey to handle the ball quite a bit. Will Bynum will provide some solid minutes off the bench.
Shooting Guard: B Combo guard Rodney Stuck will be relied upon heavily for offense. Sharpshooter Ben Gordon will see solid minutes in the rotation.
Small Forward: C+Tayshaun Prince still have the length and range to be an effective player. Former first round pick Austin Daye and free agent signing Damien Wilkins will see limited minutes.
Power Foward: B-Scrappy forward Jason Maxiell will split minutes at the PF with Charlie Villanueva. Jonas Jerebko will be played sparingly at the forward positions.
Center: BGreg Monroe has all the intangibles to be a 20/10 center. Must improve his interior defense. Ben Wallace will be called upon for rebounding and veteran leadership.

Good luck man! This looks good with the format and all. Make this team better than the 2004 Pistons!

Just some thoughts thus far:

The starters are actually performing better than expected.

The team is severely undersized.

With the exceptions of Gordon and Villanueva, the bench is pretty sparse.

Not sure if I am feeling the double combo guard back court.

I am still messing around with the sliders, trying to find a balance.
Exams are coming, but I will try to get the NBA November recap up sometime soon...

LeBron shot 13-11? Stuckey looks like the man for you right now, running the offense, but if it was up to me I would try and trade him and some point, ditto Prince. And I would try to raise the difficulty via the difficulty setting or sliders because once you actually have a good team you'll be blowing other teams out every night.
