The draft lottery is over with the Hornets getting the number 1 pick. (Jordan has to be mad

)
1. New Orleans
2. Charlotte
3. Washington
4. Cleveland
5. Sacramento
6. Portland (via Brooklyn)
7. Golden State
8. Toronto
9. Detroit
10. New Orleans (via Minnesota)
11. Portland
12. Milwaukee
13. Phoenix
14. Houston
15. Philadelphia
16. Houston (via New York)
17. Dallas
18. Minnesota (via Utah)
19. Orlando
20. Denver
21. Boston
22. Boston (via L.A. Clippers)
23. Atlanta
24. Cleveland (via L.A. Lakers)
25. Memphis
26. Indiana
27. Miami
28. Oklahoma City
29. Chicago
30. Golden State via San Antonio
My first 5 draft predictions:
1. Davis (obvious pick)
2. Gilchrist (Charlotte needed Davis but since they won't get him I think they'll take Gilchrist.)
3. Robinson (Not sure here but I'll choose Robinson although it could easily be Drummond or Beal.)
4. Beal (If he's available I hope they take him. If he's gone I'd take Barnes too. I really don't want Drummond.)
5. Barnes (I think he'd be a good fit for there team but I'm not to sure about this one.)

Fuck this. It's too obvious when a team Stern owned gets the top pick just weeks after it was sold.
Do you think Portland would trade their two picks for #2 and Kemba Walker?

A caption on Yahoo! NBA wrote:Surprise, surprise. The Hornets – the franchise recently owned by the NBA – won the lottery and the right to take Anthony Davis.
Great news for the Hornets, obviously, but conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day with it. On top of the situation with the vetoed Chris Paul trade and the league owning the Hornets until recently, it doesn't help that the Cavs won the lottery the year after losing LeBron...or that Paul ended up with the team that traded away the pick that became number one. As far as I'm concerned, that's just the way the ball bounces.

haha nets...

Im a say the Cavs get...
4th pick: Brad Beal(they really need a SG)
24th pick: Terrence Ross(From what i've seen he's a hooper!)
33rd pick: Jae Crowder!
34th pick: ??????? ????????

Anthony Davis probably can't wipe the smile off his face right now, he doesn't have to play for the Bobcats!
Hornets could make the playoffs next season. Yes i said it.
My top 5 prediction:
1. Anthony Davis
2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
3. Thomas Robinson (they have Lewis and Blatche on the block right now so they're obviously preparing to take a PF or SF... with MKG off the board they go with Robinson... Barnes is another option but #3 for him is a slight reach)
4. Bradley Beal
5. Harrison Barnes

Dallas with the 17th pick! I hope Cuban/Donnie pick a big

Rockets with the 14th pick for the third year in a row! I'm hoping this year's picks will be enough to land them the 14th pick again next year to keep the streak alive!

with Davis as the consensus #1, does anybody think he could potentially become the next Tyrus Thomas?

Nah. The thing that fucked with Tyrus' development is that he has had a long history of being in foul trouble. He did in college and he still hasn't been able to shake that tendency in the pros. Davis doesn't have that problem.

It's also worth noting that Thomas is only 6-8.

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/tyrus_thomas/career_stats.htmlActually, he's 6'10. He just sucks at basketball.

well, it's not your fault that your owner might actually be worse than Donald Sterling

That may be what he's listed at, but he's not 6-10. He just barely got over 6-8 at the combine with shoes on.
Next you'll tell me that Adonal Foyle was 6-10.

He's not even a half inch shorter than Noah. Is Noah 6'8 too?
Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:39 am
Yes, we should use one single photo as our reference rather than what he actually was measured at.

Charlie V and Mike James, same height!
Sun Jun 03, 2012 11:20 am
Thabo Sefolosha is listed at 6'7... Now look to the right looks 6'8 to me..
Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:32 pm
Tyrus Thomas is not 6'10".
Anthony Davis is though.
Sun Jun 03, 2012 2:43 pm
in basketball, it's traditional to list players at an inch or two higher than what they are actually at. JJ Barea is 5'8", 5'9" tops but often gets listed as 6'
Sun Jun 03, 2012 3:06 pm
Alternatively they may be listed under their height. Kevin Garnett is 7-1 or 7-2 but refused to allow teams to list him over 6-11 because he was afraid they would play him at center then.

But that wasn't Mike James in the pic. That was Terry Crews back when he played for the Raptors. On nights they lost (which was almost every night), he would do this:
