2nd Big Announcement Coming

According to Ronnie 2k, we got a big announcement coming in the next couple weeks.

We never really do anything at E3 as you guys know but I am definitely going to try to give an insider look at the show, more than last yr

Having said that, we're expecting to make a big #NBA2K13 announcement in the next coupla weeks that I am fairly confident will impress you

Of course, it's my subjective opinion. What I think is cool may not be what you think is cool. But some exciting stuff is going down this yr

What impresses people is different for everyone. But I think our most hardcore fans will like what we have in store.

Last year's first "big" announcement were the 3 different covers.

Let's hope that this time around it's something substantial.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is a cover player announcement. Failing that, I'm guessing it'll be along the lines of NBA's Greatest; perhaps they've got ABA teams in the game this year, or maybe they've acquired the FIBA license.

I'm not sure it would be too much difference with the 2k12 ....

I have a feeling it's going to be something that a lot of people write off as being gimmicky or at the very least something that's cool but not necessarily what the game needs or most people want to see.

If it's not content like NBA's Greatest or ABA teams, perhaps it's Kinect support.

That's a good point I forgot about that. Unless it is my idea of capturing custom animations. Most likely not because of a point brought up earlier about requiring kinect to use it.

I still wouldn't be surprised if there is Kinect support this year. Still, that bit about hardcore fans has me thinking it's something else, unless of course I'm the one who doesn't know what hardcore fans want.

but when you mention .... came to live at a level 2k, will not be enough to solve a graphical issue ... 2k is the people learned many things that have never been to basketball games. I believe that even they themselves do not know what to put a new and to be accepted

Good to know it'll be something more substantial than that.

The thing that has already made 2k better than EA in the past is that 2k focuses on the hardcore basketball nerds, whereas EA focuses on a more broad/casual audience (which is why it failed)... i'm excited to see what this feature is. Hopefully it's not some bullcrap marketing ploy and it's actually something awesome.

I would be betting for an announcement around March 2013.

EA's deal with Synergy Sports may possibly be up, in which case they might now have a partnership with 2K. That'd certainly be something for the hardcore fans.
