My NBA2K server

I keep having problems with the server whenever I start up the game. It won't load up my profile. Even when I manually go to my NBA2K account within the game, it "checks my internet connection" and then says it has a problem connecting. Why is this? My Internet is fast and I don't have any issues with my Internet with anything else.

What do I do?

Do you have the official patch installed?

I've encountered errors like that even with the official patch, at times when 2K's servers have been down or having problems. In that instance, there's nothing to do except wait until 2K resolves the issues from their end.

Which patch? It's been a while since I fired up the game, but I was having this problem even the last time I fired up the game (probably in January).

Are you playing the PC version? The PC patch came out after January and is required for make use of all online features in the game. You can find the patch in our Downloads section.

Yes, PC. I actually installed the patch before you made that post. I got it from the 2KSports website. I think it installed correctly. I downloaded it and then opened it using WinZip. It did its thing and now I'm connected. I see my profile and I see the NBA Today matchup was Pacers/Heat playoff game, so I'm on the right track.

Although, the rosters have not been updated. Why is that? I'm referring to the Living Rosters.

They should be, but you'll need to use the Reset Roster function under the Options menu.

Ok I'll try that...aside from the patch I downloaded from their website, are there any other "official" patches out there? I see a thread about patch 1.0.4, but is that already included in the patch I got from their website?

EDIT: Resetting the roster worked and everyone is there, including the 2011 rookie draft class.

On the title screen it says "Evaluating internet connection" then goes to the Home screen...but NBA Today isn't on there and I'm not logged in. I try logging in manually and it says it can't connect to the server. Also won't update rosters, I've had to download the new releases from here.

My internet is good, and I've had the patch since it was first released. Everything was fine until a week and a half ago. I thought it was the 2k servers, but it seems other people are getting on with no problems. Not sure what to do (I have the PC version btw)

Yep, there's only the one official patch for the PC version, which comprises all of the updates that the console versions received.

Check your firewall and security settings, NBA 2K12 may be being denied Internet access.
