Re: 2012 Playoffs: (4) Grizzlies Vs. (5) Clippers

Pdub you lucky bastard. Tonight's game has been a pure joy to watch. The Clippers just can't hit the free throws but somehow has a lead under 1 minute to go.

NVM. Gay just tied the game.

EDIT: Pdub gets 5 more minutes of basketball live. Chris Paul just couldn't shake off Tony Allen. Tony's been pretty good defending Paul otherwise for foul trouble in this game.

EDIT: Wow. Paul was just great in the overtime. Little sluggish game at the end but very exciting game. This series has been just superb. The Clippers now have 3-1 lead. (Y)

Man, i swear if Paul was 6'6" he'd rival michael jordan as the greatest ever... the dude has such a strong will. He was amazing tonight.
B-Griff was pretty good too. I just don't understand how the Clippers shooting trainers haven't corrected his flawed FT motion yet.

Del Negro's inbounds plays are atrocious. seriously wtf does he do in these timeouts??? shouldn't you have at least 2 or 3 inbounds plays everybody knows?

Absolutely. On one posession, they had it nearly stolen and had to force a shot all the way back from half court resulting in shot clock violation. A few minutes later they have trouble inbounding once again. And lastly in the overtime nearly at the end of the game, Martin tries to inbound the ball, VDN calls a timeout to avoid 5 second violation which actually was needless. Lol...

It's really too bad he doesn't have the size to play in the NBA.

It's only been two years. It took Shaq and Ben Wallace how long until they became adequate free throw shooters?

Good win by the clippers, one more win left to go so they can face the Spurs... :cheeky:

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have any inbounds plays at all in his playbook like most coaches in the league.
Just take a look at George Karl. It took the arrival of Chauncey Billups to tell him that they need inbounds plays that they can always go to. Karl has already been coaching in the league for 14 seasons before that.

Did you see those two atrocious calls near the end? The first was Blake Griffin's sixth foul, and the other was with Kenyon Martin.

Gotta love the play Del Negro drew up to end regulation. Isolate Chris Paul, penetrate into the defenders and fall down. Paul learned quickly and knocked down several mid range shots in overtime. He almost had a triple double.

During the kiss cam on the jumbotron they showed Ralph Lawler and Mike Smith, the commentators. Ralph wanted none of it, but Mike Smith put his hand on Ralph's cheek and kissed his own hand. Ralph was still disgusted.

Grizzlies in 7. Memphis is a better team, but Clippers want it more. Gasol has totally disappeared... NOT losing on Wed at home!!

Hope you enjoyed the game Pdub. I've got a question. On jumbotron, do there go pictures of main broadcast camera? I watch games through NBA League Pass Broadband, and players often look up when camera is aimed on them. Not just because of stats I guess. :D

Cheers!

Yeah, during play the jumbotron shows the broadcast camera view. One thing I noticed is how much contrast there is on all the televisions compared to how it looks in person. Including my photos. In my first photo, the hallway under the staples sign is actually gray.

I'm sure players look up to see the score and the clock, not their individual stats. Maybe their fouls, though.

Most of them look up to see the scores or replays of fouls and all that.

By the way those seats ain't bad for as much as 150 bucks, considering it's the playoffs. You got your moneys worth going to that particular OT game :D

yeah my pictures from 2010 all pretty much turned out the same way. there's just so much light and the led lights are so intense

jesus, they missed the out of bounds call in the corner and gave it back to Memphis which sparked their run at the end.

even in high school we had at least 2 or 3 plays for the sideline and baseline each.

Would've liked to see nick young play late in the game. Foye was awful down the stretch.

Also what the fuck was that tech on Reggie Evans for???

Definitely there were many chippy calls in this game 6 and they made a difference. Regardless the Clippers had their chance to close the game when they were up 6 or 8 with not many minutes left on the clock in 4th.
