Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Yeah, I wouldn't place too much stock in "Once in a lifetime" either. This is professional wrestling, if it makes money and all the parties involved are interested in doing it again, chances are it will happen regardless of previous billing and stipulations.

He does, and hopefully it'll happen sooner rather than later. I don't know if they'd make him the headline, as much as he deserves it I think they'd probably rather have the headline inductee be someone who could accept in person and I'd say that's fair enough. In any case, hopefully Vince can put that bad blood aside and his induction will finally happen.

bah let his brother accept on his behalf and headline him. i get the feeling that when they do finally put him in he wont even be 1 of the 3 that makes it on the show. that may cause me to punch kittens

If there's no living inductee that is going to draw enough interest, maybe they'd do that.

I thought Cole was supposed to be heel. Why not cheer for Brock, Cole?

That's one of the problems with Cole's heel character, it's all over the place. Sometimes he cheers for the heels, but still supports some faces. Other times he completely changes his stance in the middle of a match or in-ring promo/segment, despite the fact there's been no turn or other reason for his opinion to change. The reasoning behind his character's opinions on certain wrestlers is also often illogical and contradictory, without the wit, humour or entertainment factor of classic heel announcers like Bobby Heenan or Lawler in the 90s.

I don't blame Cole himself of course, he's simply doing his job and portraying a character. I blame Vince who seems to think it's a good approach to the announcing and has let the whole thing run on for too long. I've read that Taker and HHH both pushed hard to have JR announce their match at Wrestlemania. A shame HHH can't use that influence to get him back on RAW permanently.

Speaking of Vince...

LOL
The WWE Guide to the NBA
Blake will just be hated. I'm not quite sure how Chris Paul fits in as Ziggler's partner Jack Swagger, but Vinny Del Negro as their exasperating manager Vickie Guerrero? The jokes practically write themselves.

I can see where he's coming from with the comparison though, as far as being overlooked despite recent success.

I hope to see Daniel Bryan regaining the title in a wrestling match. And I also think he won't be regaining it anytime soon.

Extreme Rules is a must watch PPV,

Randy v Kane was a great hardcore match
bryan sheamus was pretty damn good throughout
punk jericho was flippin awesome
Brock Cena was brutal (bloody blood for both) and a nice "shoot" promo at the end

Ryback (first time seeing him) was meh, but OK
Divas sucked cause it wasn't Kharma returning
Clay Ziggs was a good match, but the shit around it is always meh

just, just watch it :applaud: :applaud:

Really? I really felt the build-up for the entire event is lame but... I'll get it anyway.

i agree with the crappy build up, but it was one hell of a show (for me)

I'm that sad and pathetic minority that loved ECW, weapons, headshots, etc, "brutal" fake shit, and this PPV did well by me
