Feel free to treat me like a complete noob here but i have no idea which file to download to make my game look good like in the previews haha. There's a million screenshots and a million files to download.
I don't want to download any of those kinds of patches that bring your frame rate all the way down (i think they're called shadowmods), but from what i gather, your mod doesn't do that... right?
So which file to i choose?
I tried putting the "values" into leftos tool thing, but it didn't seem to make any difference to the way my games look, so i'm wondering if there's a complimentary patch that i'm supposed to combine with it? or if i even did it correctly, lol, but can you give me some noob-esque instructions??

no your not a noob... everyone started just like you... like me at first im asking my self "what the *@#% am i doing??"
if your confuse on which one will you choose... choose the one on the top of the list.. or in the last page of the thread.. that means thats the latest mod.. or if you want to use Leftos global editing tool.. i can teach you how..
1. open the tool ( Leftos global editing tool )
2. choose your global in your nba 2k12 main folder (where you installed the game ). just click the "SELECT" in the upper right corner.
3. make sure if its on pre-patch or in post- patch ( mine is in pre-patch )
* if your global is in post-patch, look in the upper left side of the tool.. press the "MODE" and check the post-patch..
* if your global is in pre-patch, just do nothing
4. then put the values that you want to edit. (ex. lighting 1 000040BF -0.75 thats the default... you can edit that numbers or if your not familiar in hex just edit the digits in the right corner.)
5. if your finish editing the values and want to see the outcome then click the "DO EDITS".
6. if your satisfied in the outcome then click "NEW" then a new window will appear then named your project then click okay.. then click "SAVE" below "NEW"
thats all
hope i help you

which global are from the screenshot?
Mon Apr 09, 2012 12:02 pm
this one is from el granada

Between two globals, I chose El Granada's Realism SuperGlobal Codename: Explosion, simply because it's already pre-patched with TNT mod

and since IMO it uses better sweat patch!
It does make players look a bit like plastic, but the game view in general is much better with it. The sweat patch that El Granada uses finally makes players like Ronnie Brewer look like human

and not like Yellow Bastard from the Sin City

Just so you know, my global comes in a pre-patched TNT version as well. It's called the TNT Full Pack and it includes all the files required for the full experience plus patched global and gamedata.
You just need to scroll down a bit, the download links for the full packs are always just below the add-ons.

Hi seanjohn (if that is your real name),
I'm having framerate problems at the moment. It's weird because when i first installed the patch there was no problem and it looked and ran really smoothly. Now i've turned the computer on today and it's choppy. Don't know why it runs differently today then it did yesterday but it does. Any tips/advice there?
Will have to get rid of the ENB if i can't fix it, which would be a shame because i really like the way the ENB looks..

Reason: Do not quote multiple images. If you have to quote an image, pick the one you think is the best in describing what you want to say.

Amazing shadows. Congrats SJ. I'm glad you were part of the community for 2K12. You, along with tatlopuyo, were the ones that started the whole shadow mod frenzy this year. And for that, I thank you.

Unless 2K13 proves to be a huge disappointment (which I very much doubt), I'll be there for it as well, making tools and everything. Worry not. See you then.
