NBA Finals 2024: Denver Nuggets Vs New Jersey NetsGame 1: Blake Nets 50 in Nuggets Win
The Nuggets took ascendency straight away in the NBA Finals, winning game 1 by 112-87 against New Jersey. Blake Griffin's career revival continued, as he dominated the Nets with 50 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor took the back seat with Blake on fire, but he still managed to put up 20. Borislav Perko's triple-double performance would also be overshadowed. He had 12 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while Stan Griffiths also had a solid night with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
New Jersey had 5 double-digit scorers, led by Caleb Jackman with 26 points and 7 assists. Nicholas Schneider (18) and Conrad Henry (17) played handy supporting roles, while Dan Garcia and Dickey Hogan scored 10 each.
Despite the well rounded offensive performance by the Nets, they had absolutely no answer for Blake Griffin, who terrorised them all night.

Game 2: Nuggets Hold on
After the blowout in the first game, the Denver Nuggets just held on against the Nets in game 2, winning 101-97. Blake Griffin (24 points, 8 rebounds) and Taylor MacKenzie (23) topped the Nuggets scoring efforts once again, but it was Borislav Perko's triple-double that landed him the Performer of the Game. He had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, in what was his 3rd straight triple-double of the playoffs. Dennis Anderson also contributed 15 points, while Stan Griffiths had a good all round night, with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
The Nets were able to rally towards the end, thanks to three players with 20+ points. Caleb Jackman once again led the way, with 28 points and 16 assists. Dickey Hogan also picked up a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Nicholas Schneider added 22 and Conrad Henry scored 10.
Denver almost blew a 15 point 4th quarter lead, but they were able to close the game out from the free throw line.

Game 3: Jackman Gives Nets Hope
In game three, New Jersey were able to pick up their first win of the NBA Finals, outscoring the Nuggets 94-86. Caleb Jackman continued to be their standout player, with 28 points and 10 assists. Dickey Hogan and Nicholas Schneider both scored 17, while Conrad Henry had 12.
The Nuggets had 6 double-digit scorers on the night, but none of them had 20 or more. Denver's wingmen led the way, as Dennis Anderson and Taylor MacKenzie both scored 17 each. Blake Griffin added 15, while both Borislav Perko (15 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) and Stan Griffiths (11 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists) registered triple-doubles. Vince MacMahon picked up 10 off the bench.
Despite some big individual numbers from the Nuggets, Caleb Jackman was the difference in this game. If he can continue to carry New Jersey, this series could go down to the wire.

Game 4: Nuggets One Away: Taylor Drops 50
The Denver Nuggets are one win away from their 8th championship, after beating the Nets 101-76. It was a huge night from Taylor MacKenzie, who had previously under-performed in game 3. He made up for it with an incredible 56 in this one. Borislav Perko's streak of triple-doubles was broken, but not by much, as he had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Blake Griffin also had a minor contribution, with 12 points.
Dickey Hogan was the high-point man for the Nets. He almost had his own triple-double with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Caleb Jackman was slightly down on form, but still contributed 23 points and 9 assists, while Nicholas Schneider picked up 15 points and 8 rebounds.
The Nuggets are now one win away from the NBA championship. The next game will be in New Jersey.

Game 5: Nuggets Are Back on Top!
Denver became the 2024 NBA champions, as they finished off New Jersey in game 5. The final score was 105-71.
Stan Griffiths finished off his rookie campaign by being the best player in the Nuggets last game. He had 28 points and 11 rebounds. He led a field of 4 Nuggets players with over 20 points, which also included Taylor MacKenzie (23), Blake Griffin (22) and Borislav Perko (20 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists).
Dickey Hogan (26) and Caleb Jackman (20 points, 8 assists) were once again the two best players for the Nets. But they had little support, as Nicholas Schneider (13) was the only other double-digit scorer.
After a couple of playoff failures and a cellar dweller season, the Nuggets are back on top of the NBA. While the Finals MVP trophy will only go to one player, there are at least 3 or 4 that could make a decent argument for it.
